It has been raining ALL day!! I love the rain. I have caught up on some DVR tv/movies that I recorded recently. I have a new cookbook that I am hoping to find some dishes I can either fix the way they are OR tweek them to be healthier. I need to get more organized with my meals. On the days where I know I am going to have more sodium intake in a meal I need to balance it out with fruits/veg. I keep going over. I will get this. It is just taking time.

Well, I did pretty good today. I had a large salad and cleaned out the potato soup that was in the frig. The soup was ok, but I need to make a healthier version next time. I have added more foods to MY list which is continuing to make it easier to keep track the items.

I am trying to get more of the foods I like in my favorite list. This is making it much easier. This is the reason I really like SP. It doesn't delete you and your foods when you stay away for months. I did WW a few years ago and all the time I spent entering foods was basically thrown out when I stopped paying the monthly fee. If I were to start again I think I would have to start over. Plus SP is free!

I am really trying to make some positive changes this year. I KNOW I will have setbacks, but need to do this for me.

I got really serious about this about 1 year ago today and I started out really doing well. I kept at it for longer than I ever have. I got off track, was sick a lot and my job changed which resulting in my giving up seriously trying to lose weight.

I have GOT to do this for ME! emoticon

I have been away for months. I am frustrated that I could be further on this journey, but know that doesn't really help anything to think that way. I have a new smart phone so the SP app should be really helpful! My best friend who was doing this with me has now went to WW and lost about 35 lbs. I am happy for her, but want to be on the 'losing journey' too!
