I have got to get it together

Friday, July 24, 2009

Well here I am almost four months after having my baby and I HAVEN'T LOST A POUND. I can't say that I've tried because I haven't. I've planned to try I just can't seem to get it together. My Dr. offered me wt loss medication. does that mean I am at a total loss? I declined because at this point in my life when I do succeed I want to be able to take all the credit. I told my Dr I would give it another try on my own. Guess what? He said he wanted me to come back in one month a little bit lighter and that was two weeks ago!! Tomorrow I'll give it another try SP wish me luck.

I love your spirit of wanting to do it on your own. Way to go!!! It is much better to do it with lifestyle changes. If you use medications then you won't have long term success. I think your smarter than your doctor.

I wish you all the blessings possible in your effort. SP is a challenge for me because I do not always get on-line and know that it could be one of the best motivators. I really hope that you do well today. One day at a time.

Girl, I heard that! I know exactly how you feel. I was taking HCG shots 5 days a week and the good thing about them is you lose weight. The bad thing is you lose even if you don't eat healthy and exercise. If the mindset is not right for maintaining the weightloss then it's all done in vain! Be encouraged and you can do it! emoticon

What is the problem?

Monday, April 21, 2008

I start out each and everyday with a plan. I plan my meals...I plan my exercise...I plan to succeed. I get through breakfast okay and then lunch goes pretty good and then after that I don't know what the problem is. I have gained as much as 20 lbs back at one point and I'm tired. I'm ready to give up but I can't. I need to lose this weight.

I have just read your page and I think you have done so well that it would be a sin to let it all go.

I have gone up and the scale all of my life, and I know how much I hate myself on the day I wake up and I am at the top of my weight range. Which for information is a massive 29 stone around 406lb. I know now without a doubt, if I ever reach that weight again, it will be the end of me I will die this time, I am too close to 50 years old.

Come on lady, you have a choice to make do you get into those cute clothes you so want, or does your weight steadily creep up and you end up bigger than you were before.

You can do it as you have so demonstrated. I wish you success and motivation, but above all this I wish you good health and good judgement.

I used to experience what you are experiencing, but now I look at things completely differently. I have stepped off the scale and onto a healthy lifestyle, and along the way I have steadily lost weight. I do not make this change about losing weight. Yes, I count every calorie. I weigh, measure and count everything I eat. I record every mouthful. But my focus is my health. I look at each day as a goal. I look at each choice as a goal. And I make the best choice I can from those available in the circumstances I am in.

When I was scale jumping I never succeeded for long. Now I know nothing BUT success.

Try to make your focus your good health.

I feel the same way sometimes too but we just have to press forward. Do a little at a time. One day the focus can be getting in the exercise. Another day the focus can be getting in all your fruits and veggies. And then another day you can focus on staying in calroie range.

Take it one step at a time and although you've gone back a few steps...remember all that you accomplished and steer your way back.

You can do this. You can! emoticon

I feel the same way sometimes too, its gets overwhelming and all you want to do is say forget this! and just quit. But don't give up, you have accomplished SO much. This is a time when you need to rely on your faith, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep back in the fight!!! You CAN do this! I'm rooting for you diva!!

I feel the same as you alot! But I read your sparkpage and you have had so many successes! Your initial weightloss in 2007, your nursing, your self esteem improvement. It also seems that you have gained alot of knowledge about all this weighloss stuff with Weight Watchers and Sparkpeople. You're doing GREAT! Don't be so hard on yourself. Everyday is a new start and you have already demonstrated that you can do anything you want to.

If at first you don't succeed, pick yourself up and try again...Aaliyah. We must keep striving until we make it. Sometimes falling tests our strength to see if we can get back up, I know you can. Keep up the good work.

Meka, I know you can get yourself back up, dust yourself off and get back on the wagon and take control of the reigns. You have come to far to let yourself to stay down. You will get to your goal for Memorial Day (and get yourself a new bathing suit that shows off your hot body), I have seen you do amazing things over the past year, 2008 is not going to be any different. You can do it!

Congrats 2 u! When I went to your page and checked you out I was inspired, I noticed a place on the page where they ask Did you find this person motivating or something like that, so I responded. You're the first person to grace my page with a message and it was very encouraging and set the tone for what the SparkPeople experience is like. Thankyou much

Hey Everybody

Sunday, January 20, 2008

I haven't been on much lately. I have been really busy w' work and the kids, also my computer had caught a virus. I went and kidnapped my mothers computer that she wasn't using until I get a chance to get mines fixed. My scale is not working right now( I think it needs a battery). I don't know were my weight is at right now. I have been really bad these last few weeks it seems as if when I am not active on Spark I lose my motivation. Well I'm back and gonna start over(again) TODAY. I need to get that battery replaced ASAP to see what type of damage I have done. Thank You to everyone who stopped in and checked on me during my short spark break...I really appreciate that. You all keep me to keep going!! -Meka

Hey busy lady, very happy to hear from you. Get batteries A.S.A.P. I went with out a scale for three years and gained over 25 pounds, I don't want that happening to you after all the hard work you have been putting in over the last year to achieve everything you have.
