Resolutions for 2010

Starting fresh... it took three years, but I've regained everything I lost the first time. Now to lose it again and keep it off!

I reset the numbers, and resolve to:

1. track food and exercise every day
2. drink 8 glasses of water every day
3. Plan meals *and snacks* ahead of time every day

DH has agreed to exercise for an hour (give or take) with me after he gets home from work, which means eating dinner later, which makes it easier to have a lighter meal. I'm so grateful that he wants to watch his weight too... and I don't mean watch it go up!

And please, don't read my entry from January 2008! obviously, I haven't been blogging much, and didn't keep my 2008 resolution... though maybe you could say I have, because it took 2 years to gain 10 more pounds, so my rate of gaining was less... take those small victories wherever you can snatch them.

    Welcome back, SHRLZI. Congrats on the slower rate of gaining - definitely a success because often when people regain weight, they shoot way past their previous top weight. This shows that you did make some lifestyle-attitude changes that stuck. Glad to hear that you will have a built-in buddy.

New Year Resolutions

The last few months I have lost focus and committment, and re-gained 15 pounds. This is a new year and a new day, for me to recommit to a truly healthy life style.

- No refined flour or sugar
- Less meat
- More water
- Consistent exercise

    Always start the New Year with a set of new numbers. I gained during the holidays, so it is start at 138 to work on this year (want to be 130 with clothes on! lol)

Singing

I spent the weekend at a singing workshop, doing body work as well as singing exercises - it was great, you always hear people say things like "sing from your belly" which I have always tried to do but after the bodywork I could actually do it!

The food was wonderful, all organic vegetarian healthy choices, but unfortunately some irresistable noodle and cookie choices that blew my calorie allottment...

But it was great.
