Day Ten- No sugar, carbs or alcohol

Since starting this I've lost five pounds!! I have tried so many diets, and even spent a ton of money on a nutritionist and all the supplements and organic food she suggested and didn't have even close to the results I'm having now. I wish a doctor had suggested this to me sooner! I've been struggling to bring my weight down since January 2012 when I hit 192 lbs. Today I'm at 164. I'm so happy I can't stand it. Yesterday, I got out a dress I ordered in January 2013. It was super cute, but on clearance online, and when I got it, it was way too small. It was final sale so I had to keep it. My boyfriend said to me, "Don't worry, you're losing weight, it will fit soon." Now it fits and is actually a little too big!

I'm finally starting to get used to this! I'm still feeling a little dizzy and headachey in the afternoon, so I've had trouble getting my workouts in. I'm going to try to get some yoga in tonight though, especially since I'm going to a big outdoor yoga class tomorrow morning.

Since Monday I've lost four pounds! My work clothes were already a little big, but now they're falling off of me! I'm going to have to go to some thrift shops this weekend just to get a few outfits for this inbetween time.

Only twenty pounds from my goal weight, more than halfway there!

I've already lost one pound!

Yesterday was a little tough. I got symptoms of the "Atkins Flu" which tends to happen while your body is switching over to burning fat. Felt a little dizzy, tired and had a headache. This went away once I ate dinner, but from late afternoon to dinner time I definitely thought about giving up and eating some carbs. But I didn't!

This morning I didn't really feel hungry at all, but went ahead and ate some eggs and sauteed spinach. Hopefully I won't feel the same this afternoon, I only got a quick morning workout in yesterday, and would like to get my full workout in this afternoon.

Gotta stay strong!

    Great job! It might be helpful to have some low carb snacks at hand. It can help a lot when you have a craving to have something healthy right nearby. Best wishes on your journey! emoticon

My doctor suggested I go low carb, so I'm starting Atkin's phase one today. I'm planning on doing phase one until I lose 15 pounds, and then going through the other phases fairly quickly. We'll see how it goes. This will be quite a challenge for me as carbs and sugar are my biggest downfall.

    Good luck, I do not know what I would do if I was told to cut out sugar, I would be a basket case!
