So it ends up the scale is just a mean and jealous god, and required me to sing its praises before it would budge. So, stubborn scale blues composed, scale budges... coincidence? I think not!!! (Now religious and spiritual people, please don't get offended! It's just a joke and not in any way taking away from your personal god... if you think god doesn't have a sense of humor, just look at the platypus...)
It MOOOOOOOOVED!!!!
Sure, it didn't move a whole lot, but it's got to move a little at a time to add up to a lot altogether.
I'm SO GLAD it did!! I was feeling frustrated and a little discouraged, and it would have made it extra tough to stay on track during our super bowl pajama party on sunday. That's right, we combined two mutually beneficial classic party themes to make for one fun party. We're cool like that.
Now that the scale is moving I'm determined to meet my Wednesday goal of 232.2!!!! If I make that goal I will still be EXACTLY on track for SP's recommended 2lb per week, which is where I'd like to average out overall!

Today is busy busy buys with work, class on my lunch, work, then a long lab after work... I've got a bag full of healthy snacks and it's only the first week of the semester so I haven't had time to get burned out on the schedule yet!
Still hovering at the same weight on the scale, but feeling and seeing some changes in my body and the way my clothes fit. I'm confident I'll see a little somethign when I measure at the end of the month even if the scale doesn't want to admit it!!
I haven't been 100% perfect with my calories but I haven't been terrible either. Just a few over here and there (never more than 100). But I'm ready to crack down on myself and keep those few out of there, as they make a big difference!!!

I'm feeling pretty good about incorporating some new foods and activities into my lifestyle rather than my previous face stuffing and holding down of the furniture.
I went for a nice long walk on the beach both days this weekend! I went with friends who live near an espescially nice one on Saturday and did a really long, fast walk along the trail there. I had so much fun that on Sunday I got my boyfriend to come with me and we not only walked, but climbed out all over the big rocks and looked for tide pools and just generally had a great time!
Then yesterday was my first day of classes for the semester. I was really nervous because I have class both on my lunch and until late after work, so I didn't know whether or not to pack dinner.... Creative solution? Tons of different carefully measured healthy snacks, so that I could eat them as needed and either get in my calories for the day or have some left over when I got home!
It being the first night my evening lab was very short, so I got home plenty early and didn't really need to dip into the snack reserve.
BUT
I was CRAVING PIZZA SO BAAAAAAADDDDDD!!!!
Blobby McFlabface was doing his worst... the cupboards are bare, it's getting late, the scale isn't cooperating even though you're doing everything right... blah blah blah...
So I came up with another creative solution. I can have pizza. There's no good reason not to. There just happen to be good reasons not to get the pizza I'm accustomed to. Just because they're the kinds I'm used to getting doesn't mean they're the only kinds available to me! I got a Papa Murphy's chicken bacon artichoke deLite pizza on the drive home instead. 181 calories per slice! Easy to moderate! And Delicious!!!
My problem now is places that dont' have nutrition facts. Like little local taquerias. A big chain store isn't going to have the fresh ingredients that a small traditional taqueria has, so even a comparison may be WAY off. I just try to use my best judgement. 2 chicken tacos seems safe. I only ate 1 of the 2 tortillas they came wrapped in, and it's just meat, onion, cilantro, and salsa for filling so there's no unexpected cheeses or greases.... I'm sure I did fine....

So far so good on not letting my fluey splurge turn into a bad streak!!
Wednesday and Thursday both went great and stayed on plan, even when terrible fast food-like temptations were placed before me!
I didn't feel like going to the gym last night, but I went! I spent an hour attempting to wiggle my rhythmically challenged bum right on off. My only problem with that class is that the teacher is too helpful.... stick with me now, it'll all make sense in a minute. When you're new, they don't expect you to get it, and as long as you just keep moving they leave you alone. And that's how I likes it! Well now that I've been a regular for a few months, the teacher keeps trying to give me special attention at the parts I can never do right. I KNOW I'm doing it wrong. I can see what my feet are supposed to do. I can see what I'm doing wrong... I just also happen to be a ginormous spaz, and can't do anything about it! Just let me wiggle my rhythmically challenged bum off in my own way lady!
So here comes SP weekend number 3.... I already got the flu, so that's out of the way. I'm not having a party, so 3am drunchies will NOT sneak up on me this time and catch me while I'm too intoxicated to remember I'm on a diet like they did last weekend. And I wont drink for 7 straight hours, so I wont have a hangover that drives me to eat biscuits and gravy and bacon for breakfast like I did last weekend.
I'll take a weekend 1 in the food department
a weekend 2 in the water dapartment
and I'll top that off with some Saturday exercise please!
