Today is the day of days!

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Well, here I go!
K day (not D day!) has arrived.
The K "stands" for kilt, and today is the day I've chosen to wear it out in public for the first time.
Amazing how weightloss can inspire new confidences!

Wish me luck!

Here I go!

A great time to plan.

Friday, November 25, 2011

Well in the USA, the good people of that nation just celebrated Thanks giving day, and together in a months time, we will both along with all the christian world celebrate Christmas.
I have all my adult life wondered where the true meaning of this "festival" as dissapeared to.
Instead, it has become a festival of over indulgence of both food and alcohol.
Both in excess often leads us to regret our "over" intake within a few hours, but it doesn't need to be this way.
Now is a great time to plan, plan and research all the healthier options and to plant these ideas into the minds of the loved ones we will be sharing them with, as not to shock them on the actual day!
Failing to plan is REALLY planning to fail, so please get your thinking caps on!

Have a great Saturday,
Chris.

For me Christmas is about food and family. I don't tend to go to excess with the food or alcohol these days though but I still love it. Presents are important to me, neither is the materialistic nature of Christmas these days. My girlfriend loves all of that so I leave it to her.
Have a great Christmas :)

To your point...we will spend Christmas with kids/ grandkids at my son's house. They are all very supportive of my new lifestyle....it seems they would like to keep me around for a while...lol.

gerat point, Chris -- I had my Thanksgiving meal planned (went well) and already working on our Xmas Day meal. Everyone around me knows the meal(s) will be on MY plan, and it's all good stuff, that the others will enjoy.

Easy enough to make a little of the "other" stuff, but no extras to be left over.

So this Christmas will be on plan!

SEASON'S GREETINGS TO ALL!

I'm back for good!

Friday, November 25, 2011

I'm back and this time for good!
My drugs although (as mentioned in my last blog) may hinder me slightly in weight management, I will on the advice of the readers of said blog use distractionary tactics to help avoid the pitfalls!
As of today I am dedicating my whole life to ..........................................
......ME!
That is, I'm going to get the health and fitness my body and mind deserve and so have retaken up the challenge of being the leader of the team "UK Men and Women with over 100lbs to lose".
I will endeavour to help everyone who comes along and takes a small part in this great team!

So here's to a great and bright future for one and all!

Chris.

GREAT STUFF! It sounds like it will be easy for you with that much motivation. I think its about keeping that awareness and standing back from the instinctual things, like wanting to reach for that chocolate bar. Remaining mindful of how great my body feels without the chocolate inside me. Good luck emoticon

Iam so glad Chris that you are going to be back and are feeling able to join back in with the team.

I am so pleased that you have seized the opportunity to put yourself first again and are physically and mentally back on track.

I was told that my antidepressants could lead to weight gain but they didn't. Not all side effects hit every person so lets hope you don't suffer yours.

Welcome back and best foot forward.

Oh the drugs!

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

I have just been prescribed a mood leveller with a view to helping me with my "Borderline Personality Disorder" and I am somewhat fearful of the desire of craving excessive carbs.
Apparently, this type of medication leads to these cravings and there are signs of this already begining to show!
I don't want to undo all the hard work I've done over the last 2 years by this "tablet" but, realise that the benefits mean there is less chance of attempted suicides.
So for now I'll just see how they go.
I still however need to fit into the Kilt when it arrives!!

Chris.

Remember that your mind has power - simply knowing that these side effects were possible may be making you more conscious of your NORMAL level of carb craving!! Perhaps knowing this will help you to downplay the fear of these symptoms a bit.

Best of wishes to you.
