In the Gym this morning and started with just a 5 minute warm up on the bike to prepare myself for the rowing blast I was set by the instructor.

Resistance set to it's highest and machine set to "just" 1,000 metres.
"Fast as you can cover the distance" says he.
3 minutes 30 seconds was his own personal best, so I figured 4-4:10 would be good for me so, off I went.

I did the 1,000 metres in 3 minutes and 44 seconds. I was so pleased with the effort not to mention completely breathless at the end!
Work a great way of measuring fitness, so at the end of each week, this is going to be my "personal" test for figuring where I'm at.

I really can't wait for my personal assessment which should be in another 2 weeks also.

    Well done, you will soon beat the instructor. I used to like using the rowing machine. My daughter has one that she has not got room for, we could have it, but we have not got the room either. Shame. What are you doing this afternoon? Shifting more bricks?

6:45 in the Gym and I had a really great workout with both my personal bests being beaten again!
I am so happy with my levels of motivation. The drive I have is to me, unbelievable and unimaginable when I think back 20 months!
340 lb's of overweight, out of breath body waiting for death to happen!
Now? Can't wait each day to sweat and push them pedals and lift them weights!

Today's results were a great move forward as I burnt 1,541 calories and lifted/pushed 28.03 Tonnes.
My calories were just 36 above my previous but, what the heck it's still a personal best! and my weights were just over 3 Tonnes.

My target now is 1,600 calories and 30 Tonnes...............watch this space!

Now looking forward to a great weekend!
Hope that yours turns out as good as I know mine will be!!!!

(Spending all yesterday morning at Glenfield for some routine tests then holiday jabs in the afternoon followed by a sleepless night are the reasons). The good thing is the weekend will be better. Thanks for your cheerful blog.

Life is going very well at the moment.
I feel so content and happy with all aspects of my life, probably the best I've been in so so many years.

Why wouldn't everyone want this feeling? I know that I was FAT until recently, and I know just how uncomfortable it can be both in physical effort and self esteem.
People seem so afraid of outlaying some sweat and effort but, if only they tried, they would see so much improvement in a very short spell of time!
All Western countries suffer with obesity in ever increasing numbers, but I'm glad to say that I am now bucking the trend personally!
