Great day at the Gym and now really settling into a regime and pattern.
The great thing is that you have a data key to put into the machines (I'm sure that you all know about these but, it's all new to me and I'm pretty impressed!) and it has my workout program loaded onto it. It's really good to use and there's no bottling out either which is even better!
Well whats all that got to do with the title of this blog??
Well, we live next to an airfield that was built for the Americans during the second world war and they flew the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress out of there with the 357th Bomb Group against Germany.
It is now used for the local flying club and this weekend Plus practice today, they have an aerobatic competition.
It's great! sitting in the back garden, chomping on what can only be described as the best Water Melon so far this year, head angled skywards watching these guys loop the loop, barrel roll, climb and stall turn and many many numerous other manoeuvres!
All this is just half a mile away from us and it's all free to me in my sunny garden! BLISS!
I hope that you all get to enjoy Friday and the rest of the weekend as much as I'm going to!
Have a good time,

No, just because I've been attending the local Gym, I'm not that fit (well not just quite yet!) that I'm joining the Royal Marines!
But, everything in my life seems to going really well, and whatever I decide to undertake, it all comes good!
The Gym work is going very well and I simply love it! Walk away wetter than being on the outside of a submarine (and no, I'm not joining the Royal Navy either!)
The garden is beginning to take shape and is also offering up some wonderful vegetables to boot which, are used at every opportunity in the meals that we have.
Toby's stitches are coming out tomorrow evening and thankfully the swelling is all but gone now, so I foresee no problems with the little fella.
Saturday, I'm joining ( no, not the Army either!) the local bowls club, a bit late in the season, but at least it's some late outdoor summer fun!
Holiday is drawing closer and talk and another one before the years end as well.
My glass is definitely full and overflowing with good and happy things at the moment, long may it continue!
I do hope that you to are enjoying a relatively stress free and productive time, and it's not just all mine!
Enjoy the day!

Well, day 5 was a great session with improved performance almost in all areas which is encouraging. Problem for me is that I can get very competitive and now won't be able to take a backward step!
It feels so good to be wet through with sweat and a slight weariness afterwards, a great feeling of self accomplishment and satisfaction.
Tomorrow is a day to really look forward to and one not to be feared as I strive for continued improvement on day 6!

Come on the silent majority!
An old story.....................................
Many years ago in a far off land the Govt. decided it would have to raise taxes to help it's people but, it knew that this would be unpopular so it decided to place a very large terracotta urn in each of the town centres to collect Gold coins that each person would have to put into it. The amount depended upon a families wealth, with obviously the richest contributing the most down to the very poor who were allowed to put even silver in.
A Father of a family in a far off distant corner of the land thought and thought how he could pay "his" part, although he had very little to contribute was too proud not to be seen playing his part.
And so on the day of tax payment the peoples from all over the land gathered including the poor Father of the family and lined in a queue to put their Gold coins into the collection urn.
And after a night of deep thinking the Father realised that he truly had nothing to give but, being a proud man took his turn at the urn and dropped his contribution in and hearing it hit the bottom where all the other contributions lay he turned away satisfied that he had at least been seen to be playing his part.
The end of the day came and everyone had finished paying and so the urn was collected and taken to the capitol where upon it's arrival was broken open to gather the coins.
The problem was that the Father because he was proud and poor had dropped a pebble in, so that people would think he was depositing a coin and that the pebble would go unnoticed amongst all the thousand of other coins. But the problem was that EVERYONE ELSE had had the same idea and all that spilled out onto the floor was pebbles and not one Gold coin!
And so no one in the entire land benefited at all from the intended help from the extra raised funds.
The moral of this story is we have many many members of this great site, but it seems to always fall onto the shoulders of a few, and if more of us were able to offer suggestions and contribute, all of us would benefit.
So don't just leave it to the few because you think that your contribution won't count, all contributions count and yours may be more valuable than you think!
It doesn't take a lot of effort to make an improvement so that we can all glean something from it including yourself.
So, let's hear some more voices and don't be shy, join in, you may surprise yourself at how good this all is!
This costs nothing but time!
SO COME ON DO IT AND JOIN IN, DON'T LEAVE IT TO THE REST.
YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

There this morning at 8 again, would have been in there earlier but that's Sunday opening!
In recent months I have been suffering with what maybe a trapped nerve in my right shoulder and therefore today was going to be a kill or cure session on that area. This was explained to Wendy the instructor and she went through lots of different ranges of movement with free weights, some really did seem to help and with persistent repetition may be the cure part of "kill or cure"!.
A great hour of sweat and liberation was had, and now we look forward to tomorrows efforts.
So good when it's something to look forward to and not feared!
This afternoon I have to go to St. Neots to collect 30 large rockery stones for the back garden and so even more calories and "grunting" to be had!
Hope all your Sundays go as well as mine is going!
