Life in a nut shell with pieces of my life missing.
We have now been without a toilet or bathtub for nearly a month. Overall life has been good. I have continued to exercise as much as possible to take care of the stress. My weight is dropping and I am maintaining my clothes size despite the fact that I should be doing more strength training. I miss everyone here but I am slightly overwhelmed. We now know the source of the water problems WE HOPE and our heat pump is working again, which is a blessing.
We are home from the doctor with my dad. His sedimentation rate, kidney function, and thyroid are extremely abnormal. The diagnosis of a syndrome is a mystery. Apparently a problem with communication between offices. They have now ruled out Parkinson and Huntingtons. We go back to the cardiologist in the morning as there are signs of congestive heart failure. He will also have another full blood panel in the morning. We will go from there. He is a lot stronger today Thanks for all the prayers.
We had an unexpected guest today. Keeper took shelter at our house. Chloe had a stomach bug so Keeper needed a place to stay. She made herself at home. Chloe is home from the vet and doing great. Dr. Dixon was a little concerned about her age. No travel and No groomer visit for her this weekend. I was so grateful when mom called to say Dixon Richard DR was going to see her. He is just wonderful with our animals. A collie is a lot of dog for our house in this mess, but she is as good as the gold in her fur.
We still need 53 boxes of tiles. We have gone through 72 plus boxes. We have found 11 boxes that are wall quality. It is a one tile at a time kind of job! Four of us worked on sorting all afternoon. Tyson helped. In the morning we start again at a different Lowes. One store in the state has 153 boxes. I see a road trip ahead.
My heart is sadden but it looks like Mark Towery, Edward Seth Washburn , Keeper and Tyson will not be able to make it to the reunion. I hope I can talk Mark into coming on with Keeper. I know everyone was so excited about seeing her again. Our house is explainable. I am still working on it though.
I have been through over 2500 tiles today. I only need to find 17 more boxes. There are two more stores in this area. One has 78 boxes so maybe I can find them. If I can find those tomorrow I might actually just get in the CRV and go to the reunion. My house will be far from clean. To be honest it will be a wreck, but I need to get away. I have had it. I wrote I love you to my husband on the top of my computer. That kind of says it all. It was covered in dust along with the rest of the living room. I am not use to this kind of dirt. Still smiling though. Have I mentioned I have a dog up for adoption.
We have located all the tiles now. I think. Simba had his fluids tonight. He is such a champ. He ate about 60 pieces of dry food and took his antibiotic. I am now feeding him 7 times a day and giving Iv fluids every three days.Tyson is trying to learn how to climb the cat tree and trying to chew on my laptop. The toddler is up passed his bedtime. He is so funny when he starts getting tired, like a typical toddler he starts getting into minor trouble. He went and had a spa treatment at Dippity Dawg Pet Salon today so I am sure he is worn out.
Tyson and I just got back from a three mile walk! We walked to the grave yard to try and find some peace. I wanted to talk to my grandmother so bad it hurt. Our house has turned into the Amityville Horror once again, well at least to a slightly more aggressive phase. The air conditioner has gone out. Meanwhile our gutters are draining into three of windows that have non removable screens. The gutters were just cleaned last week, but apparently last nights storm caused more damage. The water lock that formed around the windows caused the water to drain into the insides of our walls. Because this exaggerated our water problem, we now understand the source of all the unexplained water and can fix the underlying problem. I am not even going to try an explain further except to say they are going to fix it.
We cleaned up water and dried a bunch of furniture from about 4am until seven. And at some point Edward threw his back out. The house looks like something that dropped in Oz, except for the bathroom which is looking great despite the fact the toilet is sitting in the backyard. LOL I am so glad we went out of town this weekend. I have a better view of things in general.
Things are looking better. Edward has been to the doctor, we have a better idea of the what is causing the water problem, the outside temperature is dropping, we are waiting on the heat pump guy to call us back, and luckily Tyson (our foster dog) didnt think it was our job to herd the neighbor's cattle that went wandering by us as we walked through the town. Looks like his day was worst than ours.
Tyson is adorable and up for adoption, but please note if you are wanting him for herding forget it. Tyson is afraid of cows and cardboard boxes. I would guess rats too although he hasn't been officially tested. Ha Ha
I am fixing to beg to go out to dinner.
