Need sun!

Friday, October 09, 2009

This cold, dreary, rainy weather is getting to me! I need some sun. I'm starting to feel depressed and without any motivation. I can handle the cold but boy do I NEED some sun! I hope some arrives soon before I lose my mind. On a lighter note yesterday was oldest grandsons 5th birthday. Party is tonight and I can hardly wait! I love his enthusiasm and zest for life and I need a dose! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm wishing you some sunshine, too! ( emoticon)

And have a wonderful time celebrating your grandson's birthday. I love that we have generations to interact with - my children are only 10 and 12 - but they and the many differently aged kids at their school just make the world such a terrific place to be in.

I too need to sunlight. I am dreading when we turn the clocks back in November. I hate it to get dark at 5 p.m.

Being just a little but not much south of you I can't say it is any warmer here. I am tired of the rain too. Frost warnings for tonight. But let's not let it get us down and go out there and kick some butt. emoticon Don't do it at the party tonight though. emoticon

Have a good time at party. One of those lights might be a good investment.

Some people find that the full-spectrum lights that you can buy (they're pretty reasonably priced now) work miracles! I have one on the top of my desk shining down onto my work area, and it's on any time I'm sitting at my computer or working on my course. I think it helps me. (I don't do well with the cold, dark, short days either.)

Time flies

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Where does the time go? Seems like I just started Sept. and already it is gone. Why does time go by so fast now when as a kid it seemed to drag? I want my life to slow down to a crawl again! emoticon

I have lost September completely while taking care of DH while he is fighting this staf infection from his carpal tunnel surgery on August 28. I just hope I can find October! Very true that time somehow goes faster as we age.

I think when you open the windows in the warm weather it goes out there. Then it floats out into the atmosphere and up into the clouds.

Big Step

I am out of the 160's and into the 150's finally. It's taken months but I finally did it. I am so thrilled. Haven't seen the 150's in probably about 18 months! Now to get out of the 150's. Yeah.

Back among the living

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

I was sooo sick Sunday late eve til Tuesday eve! Today I feel alive again. I can eat without gagging and I can move without Hurting. Yay for return of usual good health. Tomorrow I can return to some exercising again. It's been a while since I felt that way. Good health to all. Dona

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Dona. I wonder if we'd appreciate health nearly so much were it not for illness, light were it not for darkness.

I am so glad you are feeling better and back to good health. I've been fighting allergies, then bronchitis for 2 mos now and it is really doing a number on my exercise routine, so I know how you feel. emoticon

So glad you're feeling better. Just think, you'll feel even better once you get back to your normal physical activity. But remember to listen to your body. Even though it sounded like a short illness, sometimes it takes a few days to get back to 100%.

I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world having all 4 of my grandbabies within 15 miles and being able to see all of them at least once a week! Having said that I must admit I am really enjoying time to myself this afternoon after having had all of them at different times and in different combinations since Thurs. afternoon til this AM. I should really sleep well without having to worry about any of them waking up and having to go to the bathroom or falling out of bed! And no one crowding me.

I do not get to see mine much and most of them are close by. So it was special when one of older ones surprised us with a visit last night

It's wonderful to have the grandchildren living close. Our 2 are only 3 miles away and we visit back and forth frequently every week.

Aren't grandchildren the greatest thing. I have 2 grandchildren that live within 10 miles of me and they love staying at my house any chance they get.
