Yesterday was my birthday. The big 60! I can hardly believe it, but am not bothered by it. Was having a great day until I got home and saw my cat lying listlessly on the rug. I knew he was old and wouldn't last long as he had already shown signs of impending death. I am grateful that I was able to be with him as he took his last few breaths and then quietly died as I held and petted him. He was 19 1/2 years old. Very old for a cat. Did put a damper on my birthday celebration. I will miss you Zaners! Rest in Peace. My older cat died last yr. @ 19 1/2 too. Still miss you Zoe!
Had problems starting my lawn mower last year, SIL came over and got it going. Said it was probably flooded. So of course it wouldn't start again this year so the neighbor came over and started it, said it needed more gas. Can't win, what's a woman to do? Can't wait til next year to see what happens.
My nephew got married this weekend to his long time girlfriend. My 5 1/2 y.r. old grandson was the ring bearer(and so adorable was he!). The flower girl was their cat! They both did very well altho Spring did have to stop periodically to check things out. Victor(my grandson) had to lure her down the aisle with a kitty treat and then turned to face everybody with a great big smile on his face. He is such a ham and is enjoyed by every one in the family! (grandma bursting with pride)
I recently had my 2 year sparversary and I certainly have come a long way from last year. My weight is down 23# My cholesterol level continues to go down while my HDL has risen and my LDL is down. I am consistently doing cardio and strength training and actually have bicep muscle definition! I am down 2 clothes sizes! Unfortunately I didn't do any measurements so I don't know how many inches have been lost but it is a lot. I like what I see in the mirror! No I don't look like that but I am significantly improved. I have reached the upper limit of normal BMI now and while I would like to lose more weight I'm pretty happy with where I am. I had lowered my goal weight when I reached that milestone, but if I take a long time or never reach that goal, I will be alright. My face loses weight first and if I lose too much my face looks too thin and I am approaching that now I will close now with thanks to all who wished me a happy sparkversary and sent goodies and a special thank you to Carol who suggested that I needed to post a blog again! Happy sparking everyone.
Finally out of the 150's and into the 140's. Slowly but surely am getting to my goal. Each milestone achieved gives me renewed enthusiasm to reach my goal. Thanks to all spark friends who have kept me focused and motivated.
