Here I am again, still at almost 330#. We started a TOPS Chapter at my apartment building in April and I promptly gained 4#. I do love this site and enjoy using it, but don't take the time. Today I decided to eat only at the table with the TV off. This is very difficult for me as I really enjoy eating in front of the TV. I figure if I take that pleasure out of eating and just concentrate on the food I hope to eat less. I am going to do this for one month to make it a habit. I am also going to listen to my motivational CD at least once a day. I purchased a lot of veggies from Schwan's today and think that will help. Saturday we are going to the Farmers Market to buy fresh produce. I would like to be at least a little lighter for Josh and Jenna's wedding.

I am always surprised when I come back to this site and all my information is still here. I haven't written a blog since July of 2008, though I have used other tools since then. I think this is a wonderful place to be, but I still struggle with my eating habits. Bought the cookbook and think it is great. I will be 72 years old next month and am still in the 325# range. For the first time in years I am dealing with less pain. In January I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and started Enbrel with good results. Maybe being able to move better will motivate me to exercise. Today my goal is to go downstairs and join the weekly exercise class. Thank you SPARKPEOPLE for always being here.

SMALL GOALS

1. I will avoid store bought muffins as they are much too big.
2. I will make large batches and freeze or store in portion sizes.
3. I will limit buying canned soups and vegetables. Even the 50% less
sodium varieties have too much salt.
4. I will try at least one new recipe each week.
5. I will try to buy fresh chicken breasts as the frozen kind have added
sodium.
6. I will bring my own sweets to Cookie's and avoid what is served there.
7. I will no longer bring home food from Cookie's unless it is something
very healthy.
8. I will logon to SparkPeople in the evening and take that time to check
my e-mails, make out menu for next day, and adjust days menu to add
or subtract foods. I don't feel hungry when I am on the computer, and I
can also watch TV.
9. I will not wreck the whole day at the end of it. I will love myself.

I can't believe it. Yesterday I posted my weight and was down 1.8#. This morning I found my feet were not swollen as they have been for a long time, so I hopped on the scale and had lost 4 more pounds. Today wasn't a great day, but my feet still look good. Tomorrow will be better.
