Pizza on half a pita with turkey pepperoni and (not Dole!) salad with some light Caeser vinegarette dressing - all for about 326 calories.

Had to share, it was super-good, and I was really pleased with the results!

Measurements update~

No weight included, I have no access to a scale right now. monthly measurements are these:

LAST Month:
Measurements as of 3/14:
Weight: 178.0!!!!!
Waist: 33 in.
Hips: 43.5 in.
Thigh: 24 in.
Upper Arm: 12 in.

Measurements as of 4/15:
Waist: 31.5 in.
Hips: 42.5 in.
Thigh: 23 in.
Upper Arm: 11 in.

Slowly but surely! :-)

I'm not sure if I'll get to 150 lbs. by the time June rolls around...but even if I don't...I can most defintely be proud of what I've accomplished since mid-February!

Dear Me,

I know that you're really bummed out that you didn't do a ton of fitness minutes Friday, but 180 calories burned is still not a bad thing.

The following are facts, and not excuses:

- Your body knew something that you didn't - last week, when you thought that it was weird that your calories were in the 2000+ range - it was gearing up for an early cycle.
- This could most definitely account for you feeling tired and frustrated and sad this week.
- You've still managed to drop a pound this week, even with that weird change.
- This weird change probably brought on by the sudden influx of activity from Zumba.

Do NOT feel bad about Friday! 180 cals burned is good for an off day, and that's NOT EVEN including your BMR OR the other movements/actions/activities of the day that were not tracked. You are doing well. You did not dance, but you have a 2-hour practice on Saturday.

You'll be okay.

And I am proud of you. There have been several times where you've felt discouraged and disappointed, you've made not-so-good choices...but no matter what, you've pushed on. You've kept going. And that's awesome...and exactly what you need to keep doing.


(My cycle varies with diet and activity, it seems - it happened all 3 summers that I worked at Girl Scout camp. Walking, walking, walking everywhere, lots of games involving movement, and a faily balanced diet on a pretty strict schedule. Cycle would always show up at least a week or so early. I've pretty much come to terms with accepting that this happens with big routine changes.)

    Unfortunately, no, it doesn't become the norm. I'd go back home each summer where my summer routine slowly slipped back into the normal routine of not NEARLY as much moving around, and not-as-scheduled meals.

BUT, you're right, if this is the way it was meant to be, then so be it - we'll see what happens. :-)

    Something to ponder: if your camp routine and the kind of exercise schedule you're trying to be on now become the norm, won't your accelerated cycle also be your usual thing? AND, if that's how it is when you're living better, isn't it the way it's meant to be?

...Unless, of course, it's WORSE and an even bigger pain in the neck than what you're used to, in which case I guess just wish for early menopause!

Quite possibly one of my favorite songs that makes me want to move! :-)
Shakira's "Waka Waka - Esto es Africa"...has it REALLY been since 2010?
I remember the World Cup being the soundtrack of that summer...and I swear I'm still one of the only people that doesn't hate Vuvuzelas. ;-P

    It's been a while since I heard that song, and it's a good shaking music. I really like Shakira in general, and look at her abs! She's a good motivator.

Fail day.

Went WAY over my calories. If I stretch out like normal, I can burn 103, leaving me with roughly 58 calories to burn. And tomorrow is weigh-in. And I'm tired and have a weird ache between my belly and my hip.


I hope I can keep was a weak day...tomorrow is a chance to make up for it...don't let a bad day change into a bad week...
