Wow - you haven't been walking/jogging outside but you've registered for a 5K in June! How brave. Hope it goes really well for you.

I've been thinking about it but I don't even walk/jog that often, do other kinds of exercise so that would be quite a stretch for me. Plus here in Florida, this is the time of year I either Bike ride at the cool parts of the day or swim not jogging in the sun.

Hope you have a great time in San Francisco!

You may not be seeing those big numbers but you are doing great :-) You are participating in this community and inspiring me to keep on keeping on. I just had a big vacation and ate a bunch of bad foods on purpose and I did exercise it all off and lost a pound this week but my appetite is OUT OF CONTROL lol So hearing everyone's day/week especially yours because you make regular weekly videos is encouraging to me to get back on track today :-)

I like how you call this "An Adventure" and log in weekly to do a video. I need systematic regimens too.
Love the sunburst window above your head. You look angelic! emoticon
That's the only emoticon I could find with wings! emoticon
It's good to know your weakest time. Your time seems popular with everyone. My weak time is around 2-4. Yesterday I took a nap instead of eating! I needed the nap.
Have fun on your trip. I'm all for unplanned trips for FUN!
Enjoy! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I started running last year and the leg pain was horrid but I discovered a few tips that might help you?
#1 Apply Icy Hot to the area 20 minutes before you start make sure it's the roller.
#2 Ice bath or ice backs right after your workout.
Hope this may be of help to you :)
Have a lovely day!

Coconut water has naturally occurring electrolytes and you should drink an 8 ounce glass after a workout to restore potassium levels in your muscle. Thus repairing your muscles :-) That and proper stretching :-)

I had Ham also on Easter and today. I know what you mean about the water retention. I feel it in my ankles and joints. So we just get back on our program and do what we can. Good luck.

.8 is better than .5 which is often the best I can do... because that's the most I get done. but you know that! good vlog.... watched while sipping breakfast coffee before getting into paper work. I am so glad you opted to vlog as part of your program, I like it/viewing & am motivated by doing so myself. emoticon

I hear you about delay response to exercising - at first there's no pain then oops there it is a day later... hahah. I'm all for changing habit of eating after night's dinner:

night eats habit rarely makes weight management easier (unless managing disease plan or certain plan medications) for me there's no reason to even eat fruit at night unless it is an alternative to something else.... you catch my drift,,,, now I'm going to shut up before I start blogging up your page emoticon

Great job with the snow shoeing! You sound like you would like hiking. I hike with the Sierra club and have seen magnificent scenery close to home that I would not even have known existed if I didn't take this activity up, If you look up Sierra club in your area you can find a hike almost every day. People meet at a location close to home and then carpool to the chosen area of the day. Listed on the web site is the hiking location with the amount of miles and elevation. They also rate each hike so you know it if is for beginners or more advanced hikers. Sierra club also goes snow shoeing in the winter. All these activities with them is FREE!

YAY! You look great! And you did very well on that mountain. I know what you mean about the weight not coming off.. It doesn't always cooperate, but I think you'll have a bigger loss down the road. Your body will even itself out. (: Keep it up! You're doing so well! emoticon

You should share your food and fitness tracker with us :-) You can do that by editing your profile.. when you go to your Spark Page click edit profile. At the very top there is a thing that says Spark Page Options. In this big list there is something that says More Options. In that list there are two check boxes that say "Share Food Tracker" and "Share Fitness Tracker" . Check both of those boxes. It's great for accountability and people will be able to give you better advice then too :-)

Don't worry tho about how fast you lose weight with diligence you will get there :-)

Through my program, I've discovered Broccoli and kale and swiss chard! I can snack on them inbetween meals and do ok. They raise my bloodsugar minimally if I eat a ton, but otherwise, they don't change it. Glad to see you! Congrats on the loss! Good luck on your goals! You can do it! Keep up the good work!

Any weight loss is good,it is very hard sometimes in peoples life style to eat right.I have done sparkpeople diet now 10 days and im down 6.5 pounds and yes i get hungry but then i grab water that i dont care for and that is a big step for me.Now i need help with protein.Never can get enough.Im clueless on what has alot besides beens and fish.Somedays i do good and some not on protein.I also work until 4:30pm. I eat supper,i take more veggies. And by 7 want a snack.I find it hard to eat in the morning so by 8am at work i really dont have time to eat well.So fiber plus bar/bananna is a plus and lots of water.Hope this helps.Or sugar free choc pudding/bananna cut up in it.179 cal.yumm.

Sorry to say this right off the bat, but is there any way you can make the lighting in the video better? It's kinda dark :-/ Anyhow, No you def. do not want to see Biggest Loser weight loss. They make the contestants go through hell and back, puking and passing out for that and when they aren't puking, they are belittled. Not healthy physically or mentally! 1-2 pounds per week is what you should expect. Doing that, I've lost 8 pounds so far and on Monday hopefully I'll be up to 10 pounds loss :-)

What are you doing for exercise? I'm doing dance cardio with my Wii and Xbox360/Kinect as well as doing my fitness trampoline.

You sound a lot like me. Im a very slow looser. My weight has stayed the same for almost a month. But I will say I did have valentine candy, birthday cake, and a few other sweets at different parties and outings. Which Im sure is what slowed my progress. But I always kept less than 1500 calories a day. I haven't been doing much for exercise though. Each day is a struggle but not going to give up at all. I gotta prove to myself I can do it. We can do it. Good luck.

It's time to get serious. You have a good attitude. Don't be disappointed if 100 pounds take 18 to 24 months. It takes real time. You didn;t gain it over night.

I lost 90 pounds over 18 months and simply stopped there. I wanted 10 pounds more. Too bad.

Once I started running, I regained 20 pounds. I want to lose those back. But my doctor assures me that it is not necessary as long as I don't throw up my hands and let it all go. He is pleased that I don;t find the 20 pounds gain acceptable. But he's not concerned because I am active.

One other thing, not losing a week is not failure. Jumping off track for a meal or a day or even a week is not the end of the world.

Hang in there. You can do it.
