I am determined to have a productive day. I have a 7am call for work so I actually got up early today, got dressed and ready to start the day. I forgot to mention that I had a huge cup of hazelnut coffee to give me that extra jolt.
I am usually not a morning person so I have to really work at it to function at this time of day. I went outside to get some fresh air but believe it or not I already feel the humidity at 6am in the morning.
I am trying to get better about balancing work and my personal life. Since I work from home it is easy for me to procrastinate doing things and then working late in the evenings. I need to work like I have something exciting to do every night and need to get done by 6pm at the latest. I usually am a really social person but lately I haven't put that much effort into my social life.
I want to start being more active in the community by volunteering in order to meet more friends in the area that do not work in the banking industry. I need some diversity. I also want to make more of an effort to meet someone whether it be by online dating or other ways. I usually try for awhile but give up. I cannot give up the idea that there is some great guy out there for me that is the perfect match for me. Someone that gets my sense of humor, my quirks, can tolerate my sometimes crazy family and loves me for me. Is this too much to ask? I think not.

I am getting more involved on the Sparkpeople website and I love the motivation it gives me. i am a project manager who works from home so it gets lonely sometimes.
I've been on sparkpeople for about 3 years but just started using all the tools available. I also joined a running group that also keeps me motivated. I've lost almost 10 pounds since I started seriously tracking my food and exercising since March.
My 25th high school reunion is in early October so I am using that as a key motivator for now. I know there is a bigger reason I am doing this be healthier.
There is a more shallow part of me that just wants to look really good at the reunion. I want to see some of my old friends but also really self conscious about the fact that I am still single after all these years. People think it is so strange when you have never been married at my age. It's not that I don't want to get married but I haven't found the right one yet. I've also thought it is better to be by myself than with someone who is not right for me.

Thanks for all the motivation from all the people on sparkpeople. After reading several awesome blogs, you have inspired me to write a blog. It does help to clear your mind and get out your feelings for the day.

There is nothing like a reunion or other big event to inspire someone. My event is a wedding, my youngest daughter is getting married in October.

I've lost a little more weight and I am trying different WII fitness games and classes at my gym to keep my interest in working out. I also bought a heart rate monitor to see where I get the biggest bang for my buck emoticon.

This site helps so much with so many resources to help with this ongoing battle.

I've been exercising most days this week and even tried a hot yoga class. I've lost about 5 pounds and want to keep losing. I want to keep the momentum going. I am happy to see that my weight is back to where it was prior to Thanksgiving. I had a good week. I made it to a Zumba and Yoga class. I want to keep my momentum and keep eating healthy and exercising. I know I feel better when I do. It is hard for me to spend too much time with my family during the holidays because they eat so unhealthy and are really resistant to change. Sparkpeople gives me the motivation to keep going :). Thanks!
