eat a lot, gain a little?

well 3 days of a hurry up and rush trip to my brothers in nc and my 96 yr old aunts in va didn't help. i did well on the road and at the fast food stops but not at the seafood resturant. i ordered crab salad but it came w/red potato salad and some of the best cole slaw i have ever had. way too much but didn't clear my plate (but close). came home and i have gained my 5 lbs lost back. i did not walk and only did my exercises one morning. so between the 2. today i am back in my saddle so hopefully that will get going on my 5 lbs again (and again and again)

well i am now on day 1 of my 8th week of he 8 week diabetic challange. i have lost 5 lbs, my blood sugar is in the normal range or low w/only 1 shot of lantus a day. i am walking 45 to 50 minutes daily and aiming for an hour. i am doing 30 minutes of exercises, stretchews and the body recall program and enjoying it. i am eating anywhere from 5 to 7 helpings of fruits, veggies a day and drinking 8 plus glasses of water roday. i think i am on to something good as the song goes. hope to keep this up for the rest of my life. it is the way to go. i feel so much better about myself and just generally. thank you sparks. you have a wonderful program.

have been juggling my insulins and am doing better. for the last 2 days i have only taken my 50 u of lantus (long acting) in the morning and have not needed to take any of my short action medicine (usually take at least 3 times a day more often 4 or 5. will see my dr the 11. i think she will be surprised.

i found a set of simple exercise in a recent prevent diabetes mag that i am physically able to do. i have now done them 4 days in a row, plus walked anywherre from 10 to 35 minutes. maybe i am on a roll. hope so. this is my 5th week and i still have not lost any weight, but my blood sugars are much lower, too low, sometimes. today i was a walmart picking up some fresh fruit and i started feeling funny and took it and i was at 51. have reduced my insulin don't know what else to do. will see dr soon and see if she has any ideas.

still having trouble getting myself and my body moving. i did hike into the woods today on a trail for about 15 min until the gnats botheresed me so much i had to quit. i enjoyed it tho. maybe i can do it again another day, who knows. but i need to get moving and kepp moving.

    I was walking outside and got really bad shin splints. Took my workout inside and actually doing well. Bought a used recumbent bike off of Craigslist which helped while I healed. Every little bit counts!!
