Excercise - the elixir for a healthy life

Today I met with a trainer from my healthy club. I can officially restart my exercise program. I rode the bike for 30 min, not bad & walked to cool down for 10 minutes, felt great!
Lastly I stretched my hamstrings. I can still touch the floor with both palms, I feel awesome emoticon

Protein and variety for a Vegetarian

I love how the Nutrition tracker monitors calories, protein and carbs. As a vegetarian I have no problem with fruits & veggies, it's the protein I struggle with. You can only eat so many eggs and yogurt. Any suggestions on achieving variety in the area of protein?

Move it or loose it

Hi,
I just joined two weeks now and am learning how to use the site. I look forward to being inspired, motivated and active.
I broke my ankle 7 months back and am ready to get rid of the weight gained thru being sedentary. If anyone has suffered an injury and recovered, got back to being active, ie, excercise let me know how you did.
Anyone with any pearls of wisdom to share, I look forward to reading

    I broke my leg in August 2012. I was so annoyed with myself because I couldn't do anything for six weeks. When I went to therapy I was able to start back of my stationary bike. I was able to start my low impact aerobics after about nine weeks. I'm just now getting to where I can do the routines as well as before I fell. I gained nine pounds that I had worked so hard to loose.
Once your doctor gives the okay for you to start exercising again-just start slow and modify what you need to be able to work out and not injure your self. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day -YOU CAN DO IT.
