Boy did I ever goof!

Friday, June 11, 2010

This morning for breakfast I treated myself to 2 nice big fresh bagels for breakfast. It sent my bloos sugar to over 200. Guess who is having a diet milk shake for lunch and will be doing more housework to pay for that mistake. It is back to English muffins again

Bagels are a rare treat for me. They are just too much, but still a nice treat. I occasionally buy a bag of mini bagels to get that fix in.

You goofed, but better from here on out. Eat lots of veggies and some protein today. You can do it.

Perhaps one bagel or half of a bagel. I always check the calories and carbs BEFORE I eat!

Oh, sorry to hear that. I love bagels, but I like those fresh big fat ones with lots of cream cheese. So for now I will opt not to have them.
Good luck and have a great day.

Another great day

Friday, June 11, 2010

Yesterday afternoon I went into a a partial meltdown due to someone doing something beyond my control- lack of sleep was also a factor for me. I have to resolve my sleep problems, but I was able to catch up on most of my sleep last night.
So today is going to be a great day

I lost out on sleep last night.
You are right, how you perceive things when you are sleep deprived is not the same as when you have slept well.
You WILL have a great day.

Still downsizing

Wednesday, June 09, 2010

I just sold enough used craft equipment to put a deposit on a cruise next year! I am also giving a whole box of things to my daughter and her kids.
I am still swimming daily and watching my food intake. So I am still on my plan

NEVER GIVE UP ON FAMILY MEMEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, June 07, 2010

For over 8 years I have been estranged from my only daughter and my 4 beautiful grandchildren. It was a argument on both sides that got out of hand. Despite my extending enough olive branches to to start my own grove, she rejected all of my attempts. This weekend I found her on Facebook and sent her a message. When she saw my name, she walked away from the pc. Thankfully my son in law who I have never been on good terms with got her to read it. I am now very grateful to him so much more than I can ever say. I got a phone call 20 minutes later. I never thought I would speak with her again. I will finally meet my only granddaughter who was born just after the falling out in the near future. We will be getting together in the net few months as soon as things can be arranged, we are in different states so plans need to be made. My mother will soon get to see her only granddaughter and the only great-gd soon we hope.

Please keep trying to mend family fences, never give up no matter how many rebuffs you get. Miracles can happen with prayer.

Sharon

I'm so happy for you. I've been through similar. The Lord tells us to do all we can to have peace. I'm so glad you are rewarded for obeying this even though you were put off and hurt for so long. God bless you!

I know just what your saying I was estranged with my oldest daughter as well. We didn't talk for years she had 2 boys when she said mother was not needed in her life and she she made the decision to keep the boys away from us as well.

This was really hard because we do in the same town a very sm town also. As we were just getting to talk again ( that was a year ago) she died of a heart attack.

It is so important to mend those fences before you loose loved ones as I did. I am so happy you get to have your family again. Hold them, hug them, kiss them, and never things of past separate you again.

Downsizing

Friday, June 04, 2010

Well I have manage to sell close to $500 in textile equipment today. This will help with the hoped for move to St. Pete FL next year.
I am also working on downsizing me. I am staying within my food guidelines, in fact, I am starting to go under the recommended amount of calories I need to take in. And This is the 2 nd day this week I have done 25 minutes of water aerobics in the pool.

So I think right now I am on the right track for a change,

Just remember that if you go too low on your calories, that you metabolism slows and it is harder for you to lose weight. Also it can be dangerous for diabetics.
