Closing day has come and gone, moving day has come and gone, and now it's time for no more excuses. Although I still don't quite have my kitchen back, I have enough to be able to prepare healthy meals. Moving takes a toll on a healthy lifestyle...at least it did for me. No time to work out, no dishes or pots and pans to be able to cook healthy meals, no healthy groceries in the fridge.
I've been in my new house for 2 weeks now and it's time to get back on track. I rescued a beautiful Labradoodle from a local shelter yesterday so now have a walking buddy and he loves to go on walks. My plan is to build up to 3 long walks a day. So far today we've done 1 long walk and 1 short walk. His name is Otis and he's a smart boy. I think we'll be good friends.
I've been upset at myself for letting myself go over the past couple of months. First excuse was surgery on my hand so I couldn't swim and exercising made it throb. My second excuse was that I had to start packing. Then the excuse was that I was moving and then that I didn't have a kitchen for 2 weeks because I couldn't find my pots and pans boxes. I tried to eat ok but found myself pressed for time and fast food seemed like the only choice. Kind of a crock, right? At least I ate subway a few times in there. But I am now back to where I was when I began my journey a year ago. All of that hard work and taking off 30 plus pounds and I went and reversed it all. My only saving grace is that I still have the tools I've learned here to start anew and the knowledge that I can keep starting over until I get it right.
So Spark Friends, I hope to see you around the boards, cheering me on and letting me do the same for you. You are all amazing people. Those of you who have done well, congratulations! You truly inspire me. Those of you who have struggled or are struggling, I will be there for you, to encourage you if I can, and we can be that support for each other that we need.
