A New Short Term Weight Loss Goal

I am going on a road trip with my son to go camping in the Redwood National Park during spring break. I want to do alot of hiking and stuff so I want to have better endurance.

My goal is to lost 18 pounds by March 29, 2013. That is about 2 pounds a week.

I am starting a Les Mills Body Pump tomorrow . It is a weight lig=fting class that is one hour long. I used to do it a few years ago and loved how strong I got!

Fresh February

First of all I need to say that Stinamarie totally gave me this idea for a blog. She made some February goals and I decided that I needed some too.

So here they are:
1.) I'm not going to give up on a day because I ate something really bad. I'm going to make the next choice that day a good one.

2.) Get up and work out in the morning for at least 30 minutes 6 days a week. (I need to amp my my work out routine)

3.) Lose a pants size. ( I want my damn jeans back!!)

Now That i have written this down i can look back and see how I did.

    Think of Feb 1 as the New Year #2 and start all over again. New Resolutions with new goals. My #1 goal is to go as many weeks as I can with a loss. So far I have gone since Oct 4 with a loss registered every week on my Weight Watcher. I am determined to go as many weeks as I can. I know I can keep going if I just work at it.

    Good and attainable goals. I'm with you on the pants; I really miss a nice blue pair that are about two sizes away from me. Good luck with your goals; you can and will accomplish them if you set your mind to it.

Today is a New Day

It took me a while but I finally realized what " One day at a time" means.

I do my best to get in at least 10 minutes of exercise (usually more that that happens) Eat healthy meals and stay positive. When i slip up a little bit I'm not spazzing out inside.

Instead, when I slip, I make a good decision the next time a meal pops up. I don't ask my son to shut off the light/grab the remote/get me some water after a long day at work, I get off my butt and do it myself. It's the little things.

Tomorrow in my 5K training program it is the longest run so far. I'm doing it outside rain or shine...I'm slowing beginning to hate my treadmill. Being outside it so much better but i to scared to get rid of it.

    One day at a time is what it's all about. I heard that you burn more calories watching TV standing up than sitting down. Good for you for doing things yourself instead of getting your son to do it for you. I do that a lot myself, but I also have my teen kids do things for themselves to get them moving. They like asking each other to do things for them.

I added the donut and did NOT go over on my calories, carbs, fats, or proteins.

    Keep on with the treadmill as well as outside. I love the treadmill and wish I still had one.(had to give it up 5 years ago when we moved into our house). But I gave it away to a neighbor who was in the process of losing weight and he really needed it.

This Day Almost Got Me

Today I woke up late because my alarm didn't go off (because my alarm is my phone and it died). Do I was not able to get in my morning workout that I have so good about. So I thought "it's okay I'll ride my bike to work and that will take care of it"

But

I forgot that I had a luncheon planned that I was supposed to make rolls for and ended up just buying some at the store. bleh. The luncheon was so FUN and I ended up staying so long (and eating so much that I didn't track) that I could not ride my bike to work.

BAM just like that no work out. I work at a "health food" store. It is a cool little place that sells food from the local farmers. I live in Washington so we have a bunch of apples still. Today I moved 400+ pounds of apples from a big bin into a medium sized bin. I don't know how to track that but I for sure got a work out doing that.

I bought a single beer (a habit I've gotten into, I buy one awesome,lager or red or stout instead of a six pack of some junk beer when I feel the need, we have some fabulous local breweries) and came home.

I started watching TV and drinking beer and wanted to eat everything I could get my hands on. BUT I CHOSE not to. I made 2 peanut butter jelly roll ups (I did a titch of butter to them) and told my self that this will pass and came online and wrote this biog.

TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY, TODAY DID NOT GET ME.

    You can log the moving of apples as heavy cleaning since you are moving and lifting. It is a workout- just not a structured one like specific exercises. emoticon
Remember sometimes ya gotta just take it one hour at a time. If you eat too much at lunch then eat light at dinner. Things like that.
