"Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez"

Monday, February 01, 2010

This past week has been good and busy. I am trying to work my schedule and make sure I dedicate enough time for school/studying, time for myself and also spend time with my family and friends. My schedule is not perfect, but it will have to work for now.

I had a mole with atypical cells removed today which required sutures, and my doctor said no exercise for two weeks. I can still walk and have been parking in the last row of the parking lot at school. I am disappointed that I won't be able to do my regular exercise, it really helps my mood, but if I want to heal faster, I need to follow my doctor's instructions.

On a positive note, I have decided to go to Mardi Gras in Lafayette so that will be something to look forward to! "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez"

Susan my dh is in school and I feel like we adjust our schedules every few months (or at least every semester). But after a few weeks in it just gets to feeling normal and routine. You'll get into the swing of it in no time.

Don't push yourself, because you definitely won't want to cause any extra issues to occur. So, stay positive and patient. Have fun @ Mardi Gras!!

Yes, it is tough!!

Wednesday, September 02, 2009

I have been working with a wonderful trainer at the Y for about a month now. I really appreciate everything she is doing and part of what is motivating me is that I don't want to let her down. She made a comment that when I go back to do my 6 week follow up with her, it will be close to her birthday. How cool would it be if I could make a lot of progress by her birthday as part of a way to thank her for all she has done? Yes, the exercise can be tough, but that is what I need to do to reach my goals. I feel great and I know I can do this!

What an awesome opportunity for you! You will have already presented her with yourself working out, but think of the inches and pounds you have taken off! Good luck!

You sound really motivated! I would love to start an exercise program especially one that gets me out of the house! I still haven't started one yet, but I am looking into it.
