It is always nice to see when my daily nutrition goals are all met.

Thursday, April 30, 2009

Each day I watch 8 'nutrients' as I add food to each meal or snack. When I finish eating for the day, I check to see the final results of the whole day.. I love it when I see everything within my goals. I added a few nutrients (Calcium, Vitamin C, Iron, Fiber) and so with 8 'nutrients' to watch, it is hard to get them ALL in the right range!

I always add my multivitamin when adding my food, because I found there is no way I can eat enough food to get what I need nutritionally. Some days, like today, I have to take a little extra fiber, and some days I have to take a little extra calcium... but overall, I am doing well, and excited to see that although the weight is not dropping off, I am eating right and getting what is important for my health!

I am also feeling better overall and more consistently too! I have lost some weight, and since they say that it is best to lose it slowly, maybe I am doing something right this time. I usually lose a lot fast, and then gain it all back as soon as I go off my diet. I want to learn to daily eat what my body needs regardless of what is going on around me: stressful situations, fellowshiping with friends, boredom, etc... and after 3 months on Sparkpeople and my many new friends, I think that I am learning little by little! A special thanks to all of you, you are such a great help and encouragement to me!!

Good for you. I should start working more on what I eat instead of just how much I eat.

Great job on getting everything in the right range! I really struggle with getting in enough iron from my food sources. I do take a multi-vitamin. I also try to get enough in my food and I fail more than I succeed! But, I do know that my multi-vitamin fills in the blanks and that is helpful.

I'm with you in the slow weight loss and I'm inspired by your 12 pound weight loss! I think that is fantastic!!

3 months with SP...

Thursday, April 23, 2009

Well, I have now been with Spark People for a full 3 months... I must say I have found some wonderful friends from all around the world, I have been more faithful to diet and exercise than I have for quite some time and physically I feel really good! I planned to lose a whole lot more, but with a health problem that slowed me down, it didn't keep me down!!!

I am thankful to SparkPeople to open this up free for us, and to my many friends who have encouraged me along the way. I am REALLY looking forward to the next three months!!!

Now that you are on track for better health, the next three months should end with you at your goal and moving into maintenance! Hang in there and keep your eyes on the prize.

Thanks for your faithfulness to the CCLTT Team. It has been a huge encouragement to me even though I have had a hard time getting to the point where I am willing to surrender all to make this weightloss happen. Knowing how hard it is for you to lose, I must say I am impressed with what you have done in 3 months! Yeah! KEEP IT UP!

I am glad you started a SparkPeople Team. This is the only team I have joined. I don't think I could keep up with any more than one!!

I look at your weight loss for over the last three months and fine great hope. If you lose that much in the next three months you will be just a hair away from your goal.

Thank you for all your prayers for me even when you did not know me. And now that we have met you know I need them more than ever!! emoticon

Where would I be today... if it weren't for my Savior, who gave His all for me!!

Saturday, April 11, 2009

I am just sitting and meditating about Easter tomorrow... and I was thinking about where I would be today if it had not been for Jesus and all He did for me. I know I would not be a Pastor's wife... I would not be happily married to my husband (25 years in August)... and I would not have 5 awesome kids that desire to also serve the Lord with their lives... WOW... that pretty much sums up my whole life!! Thank you Jesus!!

Wednesday, April 08, 2009

After surgery, I lost 3.5 pounds!!! I didn't think I would lose weight when I couldn't even exercise! BUT, tomorrow I get to start back exercising again! I am excited that I did not gain weight during a week of inactivity!! And I am looking forward to getting back into my fitness routine. I am behind on getting ready for 'The Bix' (7 mile marathon)... but know I can do it!!!

emoticon That is good news. It is always a big plus when we lose so much at a time. It makes us realize what can be done, even when we think we are not doing things to help matters. Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration. Hugs, Sandie emoticon
