Part of life is learning to choose between one thing or another. Every day we each make hundreds of choices! Everything from what time we get up, what we will wear, what we cook, what we eat, whether we exercise or not, etc...
Some things that we choose are between right and wrong... usually these are easy to discern between, although we may not do the right thing every time, we usually learn much from such choices!
Some things that we choose between is what is good and what is best... usually these are the hardest to discern and they usually don't hurt us as much as the previous type of choices... Deciding what time to get up in relation to what time I should get up... deciding what food to eat - a white pancake with syrup or a whole wheat toast with low sugar jam... deciding to shorten an exercise time because I feel a little tired today...
WOW... when you think about all these choices... it makes you want to roll over and go back to sleep... forget about getting up today!!! Well... that is until your stomach starts to growl!!! Can I do Eenie Meenie Minee Moe??? NOT!!!
Each day, I need to look at all of these choices, and choose what is BEST, not just what seems good or convenient!!! What is best for me and my health? What is best for me and my future? What am I teaching my children about the choices I make each day??? So much rests on our every day decisions!
SOOO.... we need to jump on board and say... We CAN do this and then think about each choice and pick the BEST!!!
