I was sitting on my computer checking email when a storm came up. The tornado siren went off and the wind was really bad. It was really dark, green, and the trees looked like they were going to fall. It was a bit scary and I wondered if I should have been sitting in the basement. But, as soon as it came, it seemed to leave... with just about a 15 minute rain storm after the initial scare.
Sitting here, watching, thinking... it made me think of the storms of life. How things happen, and they seem to be so hard, devastating at times, scary, etc... we worry... we fret... Some storms are longer, some are shorter... but we have a loving Father who watches over us, who loves us, and who will never let anything more than we can handle come into our lives. I am so grateful for the promises of God and for His continue protection, love, grace, mercy, sweetness, light, encouragement, hope, and all that comes with being a child of the King of Kings!! May we all rest in Him, trust in Him, love Him, and keep our eyes on Him - no matter what storms come our way!

I wanted to share with all my friends to be praying for my oldest son. He will be at a missions camp for 3 weeks this summer... seeking God's will for his life. He began looking into missions this past year, and is looking at third world countries. This camp is specifically geared to teaching missionaries heading to a third world country. The camp setting is very primitive, and they will teach everything from cooking, vehicle maintenance, living off the land, water sources, etc. I appreciate your prayers for him!! Thank you!

This has been one of those weeks... I thought about listing out everything for you... but... decided not to burden you with it all. The Lord knows all and is going to work out everything for His honor and glory and I praise Him for that. I just need to rest in Him!!
I missed SP when I was so busy the past few weeks, and thought I would just jump right in with both feet... but I think one foot stumbled just a little!! LOL I have done okay with most everything, but am not in full force, like I know I should be!! I was grateful to get my cardio in everyday, get on SP everyday, and also get on CCLTT every day. BUT, I did not get all three days of strengthening exercises in (only 2), and I went over on calories (slightly) two days.
Therefore, I am sitting here, looking back, and contemplating my next week. Looking at my failures and achievements and planning out this next week, BEFORE I get to it. I had been so busy, I didn't have time to plan ahead... just thought it would all fall together.. HA! I should know better! So, I am planning out menus, schedules, etc... so that I can be better prepared and move forward.

Today I met with two of my friends from Spark People. We had such a nice time visiting, sharing, and taking a walk together too! One lives MANY miles away, the other lives just across the Mississippi River from me. What a blessing to actually sit face to face and talk!! It was a precious time!!
