Tomorrow...

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Well, after a vacation... I am ready to start blogging and getting back on track. I did okay on vacation, considering 4 days of traveling, a lot of visiting family around food, etc... I gained a few, but not as much as I thought I could have. Woohoo... I will start a new streak again too... looking forward to a normal schedule again!

I'm glad you had a good time on vacation and it didn't do too much damage as far as weight gain. I'm cheering you on as you get back on schedule of eating healthy and exercising.

Sounds like you did OK on vacation. It's a tough balancing act for sure. You'll do fine now that you can get back to your routine, especially with your "can do" attitude about getting back to it.

Plans for this week...

Monday, April 05, 2010

Well, I did not do too well this past week. We are visiting with family and friends, and although I have not thrown everything out the window, I know I have gone overboard with some things. For my health sake, I can NOT wait until after this visit to get back on track, because I do not want to gain back 10 pounds and get discouraged. So, today, I walked and logged all my food... and plan to continue ALL WEEK!! Lord willing! I hope all my friends have a GREAT week too!! (((hugs)))

Hey Margie, You get right back on track, it is so easy to get sidetracked. I have been playing around at my plan since Christmas and really need to get serious again. All the 5 K's are coming up so we need to lose the extra baggage. I am rooting for you:) Gail

Good for you! That shows character to get back to it when it would be easier to forget it for the week. Every little thing you do on the positive side will be a victory.

Good for you for getting back with the program. I'll pray for your success and pray for me that I can find the motivation to embrace a healthy lifestyle more fully.

Day # 20 - oops...

Saturday, March 27, 2010

Well, day #20 was going great. I had a great 45 min. walk at the mall with my daughter. I did 8 upper strengthening exercises with a stretch at the end. I watched my water and food intake logging it all. THEN... after our church service last night... we were all sitting and standing around talking. We all decided to go to our house where it was more comfortable. One of the men decided to stop and get pizza on the way over. I thought... no problem, all meat pizza or pepperoni pizza won't bother me. I have 100 calories left, which I had planned to eat some fresh veggies as an after service snack, but I could cut off a small sliver of pizza, and I would be fine... BUT, they decided one of them to be chicken garlic alfredo pizza... one of my favorites.... I thought, well, I will eat just ONE whole piece... I will go over, but no big deal. IT WAS SOOO GOOD. I ended up eating ANOTHER piece... oops...

This morning, I thought I would be mad at myself. A great 20 day streak RUINED. But, I got up and decided that this is life.. and today is a new day!! SO... today is DAY #1 of a new streak!!

I had missed this entry when you wrote it. A twenty day streak is excellent! That's nearly 3 weeks!
Are you going to start over? Either way, I know that you can do this--after all, you've already proven that you can!

I like how you didn't let one incident get you down, you just "re-focused" and started a new streak. Good job! emoticon

You deserved a break. I don't believe in ever giving up everything. Now if you were to do that every day then that is different. You have done so good and have nothing to be sorry about. Keep up the good work! emoticon

You have done very well. My take on this(minute as it is) says you do what you do MOST of the time so you can do what you would like ONCE IN A WHILE. Now, if you stay on track for the rest of the month, this will have been ONE splurge. Think about that in the grand scheme of a thirty day spread. WOW! Wonderful. You have changed your life by changing your thinking about food and it doesn't control you. You get to CHOOSE. You inspire me and I am very proud of your resolve! God bless your weekend! emoticon

I agree wholeheartedly with the other responders. You did so great to go 19 days. This is life. I am learning that it is how we handle those little bumps in the road and keep going that makes the difference in the end. This is a great example of how to do it. Great job and thanks.

It happens to all of us. You had a great 19-day streak, which is more than a lot of us can say we even got close to. And I am glad that you can forgive yourself, if neccessary, and start in all over again. Let's see how much further you can go!

In the past when I have "messed up" on my food intake I continued to fall. I love how you brushed yourself off and got right back in there. Great example!!
