Bootcamp - day 7 & 8

Sunday is a tough day for me to exercise, it is usually my day off for the week, but with bootcamp and watching the neighbor's dog... I got more exercise today than I do sometimes on the weekdays! A 30 minute walk with the dog, and 10 minute kickboxing, plus everything I was running around doing today with church and planning for a meal for a funeral tomorrow... WHEW!

The first week is done, and I must say it went faster than I thought it would! I am not sore like I thought I would be too since some exercises are new to me, so that is very encouraging! I really look forward to the new week, but since all the exercise routines are the same this week, I may just post one blog at the end of the week.

I have a very busy week ahead of me! Monday my husband preaches a funeral and I will be cooking and serving the meal to the family and friends (with the help of some church ladies of course), plus we have piano lessons on Monday and I babysit too!! Tuesday and Wednesday will be cleaning days since I have my mom and dad, plus 3 older college kids coming home on Sunday night. Thursday I walk at the mall with friends and clean the church and pack to go to see my kids. Friday we leave to go to see my college kids sing in a concert at their college, Saturday is a big picnic with the college faculty, staff, students and parents, and Sunday two of my kids graduate... WOW... what a busy week it will be!!! My parents will be coming to the graduation and will be coming to stay with us for a week or two afterwards... so much to clean and plan for... but I can't wait!!

If you think of me, pray that I will NOT gain weight over the weekend... I always struggle when I am away from home on a trip!

    I am ready for a nap after reading this!!

You have some great things coming up this week. Enjoy! I need to remind myself when I know that food choices and how it is prepared is not up to me, that the fellowship is more important than the food! But, I still have not figured out what to do when the food is good right along with the fellowship!!

I am not doing the full boot camp plan, but did some of their videos last week...WHEW!! No wonder you are having such great weight losses!!

I will be praying for you and thinking of you this weekend.

Day 5 & 6 of Bootcamp...

WOW, yesterday was a busy day... I didn't get to my workouts until 8:30 at night... UGH... It was hard, and I know if I was not doing the bootcamp, I would not have worked out at all!! I would have used the excuse that I was too busy and got plenty of exercise doing all the other things I did today. So, I can see another benefit from doing the bootcamp this month!

This morning I already got up, walked the neighbors dog and did my workouts... now to shower and do all the other things I have planned for today... cleaning the church, grocery shopping, cooking, finish up my laundry, cleaning my house too, etc... whew...

Also... We put a new goal on Conservative Christian Ladies Tea Time Team... "Stay within your calorie range goal each day" - wow... I must say this goal has been harder than I thought it would be! Every night I am tempted to go over my goal! So it makes me wonder... have I been going over in the past... and just not realizing it??

So many things I am still learning about myself, my eating habits, exercise habits, etc.. I am very excited!!

    That new goal is a good one for me too...I really think about having extra and it putting my calorie total over my goal for the day and not being able to check it off of the goal page.

That is super that you did your boot camp workout in the evening after your busy day!

Day 4 of Bootcamp....

I walked 36 minutes this morning, then went to do my bootcamp exercises... WOW... I found muscles that I didn't know I had! She had a few exercises that actually hurt! I guess we get used the the same old crunches, etc... and don't realize we are actually missing a lot of other important muscles... I definitely need to look into new exercises or pick that as my focus more on My Fitness Coach!!! Now for the challenge, I have to eat 3 servings of veggies, which should be easy!! WOO HOO!!! I have lost 1 1/2 pounds since starting bootcamp!

    Great Job - Congratulations on your success! They say don't worry about the scale, but who can help but to worry a little! I did not start the bootcamp videos until yesterday. They are really helpful! I'm not sure if I will get to them over the weekends, but any extra exercise helps! Keep up the good work!

Day 2 & 3 of Bootcamp

Well, I have done all exercise routines and challenges for the first three days of bootcamp! WOO HOO... plus most of my regular exercising too! I am excited that this morning I had lost a half pound, but seeing I hadn't lost any for a week, I guess it was about time!

I am really enjoying it so far, and look forward each day to what we are going to be challenged with. The 3 fruits yesterday was easy... I LOVE FRUIT!! The push ups today were hard... I can do any arm exercises, but I HATE push ups... I enjoy the exercise routines with Nichole, although too short personally!

I hope I win one of the weekly prizes or the BIG prize!

Day 1 bootcamp...

Today I did my first ever kickboxing workout... and although I do aerobics about 5 days a week, I can see how this small 10 minute video pulled on some muscles a little more than what I am used to!! I really enjoyed the kicking and punching and look forward to seeing what else we will do!

If you have not joined the bootcamp challenge, I do encourage you to try it! It might be worth it, if you win the $500!! Today is the first day, so you are not far behind! It is only for 4 weeks... GO FOR IT!!

    I will just watch you tone up for now...pretty sure that wouldn't do my tendonitis in my heel any fact, my doctor would probably have me committed if I even tried right now...HAHAHAHA Excited for you though! emoticon

    I'll have to try that out. I'm trying to add 10 minute bits of exercise to my day. I tried it one day and it really made a difference on my energy levels. It's hard to keep up and think of different ways to spend those 10 minutes!
