Great Weekend

Monday, April 30, 2012

I had a wonderful weekend. Friday night I did my weekly grocery shopping and then relaxed with my hubby and cross stitched while watching TV.

Saturday, the weather was great and we worked in the yard for 3 hours. I rotitilled the garden and the middle of the backyard. This part has always had a hard time growing grass. We were going to throw grass seed back down on it, but as we worked we thought about putting in a raised flower garden. I am so excited about it. I have always wanted a big flower garden. We are worked on the design and went to Lowe's and Home Depot on Sunday to look at stones.

After we cleaned up from working in the yard on Sat. we went out to do some errands. We stopped at American Furniture Warehouse and saw a couple of pieces we liked. We will need to get a couch and loveseat someday -- after I stop doing daycare. Then we went to Joann's - I had a coupon for 30% of entire purchase including sale items. I got some things for the wedding and some birthdays coming up. Then we went out to eat at Outback - I stayed sensible and within my calorie range.

One frustrating thing - I had ordered20 yds fuchsia satin for the wedding and received it Sat. It was the WRONG color. The company will not let me return it:(, so I am going to try to sell it on Craig's list. I did find another place and confirmed the color today, and reordered it at a lower price.

I am working on trying to break this plateau I have been on. For the BLC19 we were to plan on what we are going to do. I sat down with a journal and wrote out some plans. This week I planned out my meals.

Today I did 2 SP videos (in-flight exercises for the 5%Challenge) and then walked on the treadmill for 30 min. Tonight I will be going to the gym with my daughter.

I sorry about the fabric, that can be so frustrating.

I love Outback! One of my special places, but beings we usually only go on my birthday we do have a bloomin' onion and aussie fries with cheese!

Workout Schedule

Friday, April 27, 2012

I walked on the treadmill for 60 min today and the only reason I stopped was because the treadmill overheated.

Part of the BLC weekend challenge is to plan my program. So, today, I sat down and figured out my workout schedule next week.

Never Quit Pledge

Thursday, April 26, 2012

Today, I promise I will not quit.
I pledge that no matter, how many ups and
downs I pass through,
I will continue on my journey.
I pledge to make a NEW START today,
and forgive myself for my past,
and to stop being so critical of myself.
I pledge to take control of myself,
To Stop making excuses,
And stop blaming other people or situations.
I pledge to treat myself as I would my Best
Friend,
Because that is who I am.
I pledge to stay in the race
and to be a WINNER!

You are so right that each day we must make the pledge anew! As Lysa TerKuerst says in Made to Crave, "the most important decision is your NEXT one!" let choose healthy options!

BLC19

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

I am so excited - the BLC19 started today. I am hoping it will give the kick I need to break this plateau! I have been the same for the last month. I gain a couple of pounds over the weekend, then lose it by TOPS weigh-in on Tuesday. I am ready to get going and hope to lose 15 pounds by the end of the challenge.

Tonight I did an hour cardio interval training at the gym with my daughter.

I worked on the sample dress today. My daughter decided which bodice she liked. After sewing it together using the muslin, she tried it on and I made the fit alterations needed. The way things are fitting, I will be trying the muslin sample on each girl before I cut out the dress from the material.

Fun Weekend

Monday, April 23, 2012

I had a very busy weekend again. My husband and I went to a Lynda Randle concert Fri night. Sat was errands and a cake tasting. We ordered the wedding sheet cakes. Sunday was a family birthday celebration. I got my exercise in late Sun afternoon when we all went for a 3 mile walk - took 3 hours as my one year old granddaughter wanted to walk too:)

One Frustrating thing - Sat my daughter tried on the sample dress. She didn't like the way the ruching was and it was a little big. So, today, I made up 3 alternate bodices to see which one she would like. I am so glad I am doing a sample dress before I start the actual dresses.

What a lot of work to make up sample dress, oh my goodness! That would not be in my realm of possibilities, I'm afraid. LOL.
