Lithrotripsy

Monday, March 28, 2011

Today my husband had lithrotripsy to break up a large kidney stone. I sat in the waiting room and did cross stitch for 2 1/2 hours. He is a little sore, but doing fine.

A funny thing - the doctor who did the procedure was my urologist 10 years ago when I had a kidney stone. He walked in the room, looked at me and said, "You look familiar." When I told him I was his patient 10 years ago who had a kidney stone attack in Scotland. He remembered me right away. It was kinda fun talking to him.

I wasn't able to exercise because of the crazy day, so this will be my rest day.

Weekend

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Saturday, I had a great workout with my trainer. She said I am getting stronger and she can tell my face is getting thinner.

The rest of the day I spent deep cleaning my room. I finally tackled a project I have wanted to do for years. Part of our headboard is a shelf. It is hard for me to get up there because I can't reach it. My husband helped - got everything off and dusted it. Sorted through the stuff and most of it I am taking to the Goodwill. Plus I had a trashbag of trash.

Also, the day was a little emotional -- it was the 3 year anniversary of my mom's passing to be with the Lord. It is so hard to believe it has been 3 years. My mom was a godly woman and she left a legacy of servanthood. She was definitly a Proverbs 31 woman. I look forward to when I will see her again.

Sunday, I went and worked out did some strength training at the gym, some cardio and then finished the strength training at home.

I also loaded a baby quilt. I had wanted to have it quilted by Tuesday, but that will not happen as tomorrow my husband will have lithrotripsy to break up a kidney stone. So, I will be gone most of the day.

Sending hugs your way as you remember your dear mother! And I pray right now that God will grant a special blessing in your relationship with your father.

We had to reopen my mom's estate after 15 years recently to clear up a real estate title. Strange how it can be so long ago that we lost them, and yet seem like just yesterday ... While we wait to be reunited, they are out of time, so for them we'll be there momentarily! You are honoring your mother in so many ways. I'm sure she is somproud of you!

Praying for your dh. I just had lithotripsy on the 11th so I feel for him! Sounds like you accomplished a lot - you should be proud of yourself. Hugs regarding the anniversary of your mom's passing. It breaks my heart to hear that. It will be 20 years at the end of April for me. Can't believe how much time has gone by. I promise you it gets a smidge easier every year - for the birthdays and the anniversaries and the holidays. It never goes away, but the intensity of it tends to wane just a little over time. Your mom sounds like a wonderful woman!

Oh, your hair looks GREAT! I love it! And the Pooh projects are adorable! I had made a Pooh Bear cross stitch growth chart for my eldest ... wow! ... 35 years ago! I had it packed away in the basement the first year we lived in this house. When I went to unpack it for my next child I found that MICE had built a little nest with and in it! UGH! I was so hurt! Stupid mice!

Nice Day

Thursday, March 24, 2011

Today was a nice quiet day. I had only one daycare girl. I was able to cut out and sew the blocks for my baby granddaughter's quilt. Tomorrow I hope to sew the blocks together.

Tonight I went to the gym and a hour strength and cardio workout. This morning I had done the strength workout home portion.
