Well, because I had a daycare interview,I didn't go to TOPS tonight for weigh-in. And my mind went haywire. I ate more than I should've and went over my calorie range. I rationalized that I had a week before a official weigh-in now. The big thing was a Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake leftover from the weekend. I am disgusted with myself. I will get back on track tomorrow. I am going to sit down and evaluate my eating and make a plan for Nov. Time to get serious!

Tues 10/26

2. Begin a daily exercise routine
-- Exercise before SP, then log it emoticon

    You have a tough road, Carrie. With your large family still at home, there are so many foods that sabotage your healthy plans -- things that I just don't ever have around. I wish your family were on this Journey to Health with you -- so that those big temptations were few & far between. You seem to have to fight them so often emoticon. Start fresh in the morning and do the BEST you can on Wednesday -- don't waste time looking back on what you 'should' have done yesterday - each day is filled with opportunities for good choices!     God bless you dear Carrie. Remember that you are still human and that once in awhile humans mess up. You will get back on track just like you said. Forgive yourself and move on.

Blessing!

This last weekend was a blessing -- full of worship, ministry and fellowship. It probably was the best weekend I have had for a long time. All three nights were worship concerts with Dennis Jernigan. God has blessed him with a gift of leading worship and ministry. It is hard to describe the wonder of worship during that time.

My husband and I were blessed to be able to spend time with Dennis and his wife, Melinda, both on Sat and Sun. On Sat we had lunch and supper after the concert with them. Then on Sun we went out for supper again after the concert and then took them to their hotel. We had such a wonderful time of fellowship and sharing.

My husband and I also had the privilege of helping Melinda at the product table on Sat and Sun. night.

Well, needless to say, because of all the travel to the concerts -- each were a minimum of an hour from home (Sun 1.5 hrs)-- I didn't get any exercise in except for a little walking and doing 60 wall-pushups. Plus, with eating out for all the meals except breakfasts, I am going to have to work hard this week. I only was up a pound this morning (the weekend was worth it!). But, I will get it off by the time I need to weight in next.

I was very tired today because of all the short nights, but I exercised anyway and ate well.

    A weekend of blessing like you had, is certainly worth the change in your daily goals. (I know some might not agree with me on that statement, but how often do you have a weekend of praise, worship and spiritual blessings?) With your mindset and great habits, it won't take long to lose that pound Carrie!

On another note; how were you able to spend the time with D.J. over the weekend? Do you know them from past encounters? So glad you were blessed friend!

Praise Weekend

I am so excited! A weekend that I have waited and known about for 2 years is finally here! Dennis Jernigan is in Colorado for 3 nights of Praise. Tonight he is in Colorado Springs, tomorrow night in Westminister and Sun in Greeley. (So, any of my Colorado Spark Friends -- message me and I will give you the places). I just love going and worshipping the Lord at these Nights of Praise.

My husband and I will be having lunch with DJ either on Sat or Sun. I will try to stay sensible and order healthy. I am not sure what my exercise will be like.

I did exercise extra today like I had said I would in yesterday's blog. I am posting early (haven't put in what I will eat for supper, but I will) because we are leaving by 5:00 to get the the Springs.

I didn't do the knee exercises again -- will have to get back to that on Monday. But my knee has been feeling pretty good. It does swell up a little still with exercise and I can't always walk upstairs like normal, but I know it is getting stronger each day.

Tired

I was tired today, but I still exercised. I needed to make a meal for the Women's Crisis Center. I did get it done in time though and on the way taking it, I stopped and voted.

My daughter made cookies again today -- some for a band she went to see tonight and some to send to my daughter in Scotland. I did break down and ate 3 right from the oven -- they were good. I had planned on it and only had a salad at lunch and dinner. So I was on the low end of my calorie range. I will try to exercise a little more tomorrow also.

Exercised late

Another messed up day with Wavorly here. They were up earlier. I had breakfast ready for them by 9:30 and available until 11:00. With them around I didn't exercise in the morning because I exercise in the living room and didn't want to in front of them. But, knowing I couldn't get on SP until I exercise, I began to exercise as soon as they left at 2:30 even though I was very tired and I had a lot to get done. As soon as I was done, I began working on cooking supper for them. I needed to have it done by 4:45 to take to the church where they were having the concert.

I didn't do my knee exercises tonight because I was at the concert for part of the time. When I got home I had dishes to do.
