Day 69 of 100 - Rest Day

Sunday, July 27, 2014

I decided last night that I needed a day of rest. So I took a break today. I didn't get up early to exercise and I didn't spark much, just got on to spin the wheel and to blog. And even though I didn't reach a couple of goals today that is okay. It is one day and I planned for it. I'll be ready & refreshed to tackle them tomorrow.

Our pastor is on vacation and my husband filled in and preached this morning. . I have heard his sermon before, but God really touched my heart again through it. The title was "Between the Call and the Promised Land is the Wilderness". This has been a tough spring and summer, but I know God has given me the strength and peace I have needed to go through each day.

I took short nap this afternoon. Afterwards I loaded a quilt onto the frame in preparation to quilt it tomorrow. Then this evening I finished binding another Mahan Memory quilt.

Daily Goals-
1. Track ALL food & exercise emoticon
2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (minimum of 64 oz) emoticon
3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes -- emoticon
4. Eat 5 servings of freggies emoticon
5. High protein breakfast emoticon
6. Eliminate morning snack emoticon
7. Blog Daily emoticon

Day 68 of 100 - Nap

Saturday, July 26, 2014

This morning I got up and did an hour on the elliptical, then went to the gym for a session with my trainer. He upped the weights for knee exercises and said I was getting stronger.

Mid-day I went and did my grocery shopping. After I got things put away, I laid down and ended up taking an hour and a half nap. Therefore I didn't eat lunch and didn't get my 5 servings of freggies in.

I don't read Made to Crave on the weekends.

1. Track ALL food & exercise emoticon

Day 67 of 100 - TGIF

Friday, July 25, 2014

I am glad it is Friday. I have been tired all day, but I pushed through and quilted another quilt and went to the gym for 40 min on the stationary bike.

However I did end up having a morning snack and didn't eat many freggies today.

I only read two pages in Made to Crave. I usually read it while the kids are playing outside, but we barely got outside then it clouded up and started to thunder. So inside we went.

Day 66 of 100 - Mowing

Thursday, July 24, 2014

It was a very hot day. Since I was unable to mow last night. I decided to go ahead and get the lawn mowed after the daycare kids went home. By the time I was finished it had started to cloud up. I was barely in the house and it dumped rain.

Made to Crave quote...
"Old Lie: I need these "Oreos" (*or whatever it is that is tempting you). They will fill me up with a chocolate high and taste so good.
New Truth: The thought that these "Oreos" will fill me is a lie. They will taste good for just the few minutes it will take to eat them. Then that hollow feeling of guilt will rush in as soon as the chocolate high dissipates. Do I want to eat right now because I need nourishment or because I'm feeling empty emotionally or spiritually? If I truly need a snack right now: I am capable of choosing a healthier option."

1. Track ALL food & exercise emoticon

3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes -- emoticon
4. Eat 5 servings of freggies emoticon

Day 65 of 100 - Quilting

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Another quilting day. I am trying to finish four of the Mahan memory quilts by the end of July. I will be seeing my aunts/uncles/cousins on Sat Aug 2. I want to be able to give the quilts to them. But I need to have them finished a couple of days before so my daughter can take professional photos of them to put on my website.

I am now caught up to where I was on Made to Crave and since I did a quote a couple of weeks ago, there is no quote on Chapter 10 today.

I was going to do mowing the lawn as a last chance workout tonight for my Pink Panther Biggest Loser Team, but it started to rain.

Daily Goals-
1. Track ALL food & exercise emoticon
2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (minimum of 64 oz) emoticon
3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes -- emoticon
4. Eat 5 servings of freggies emoticon

I'm so sorry the rain kept you from mowing. I do that, too! I had decided that mine was too brown in too many places that I held off while not getting rain till we Did get some. That was a week ago and the grass isn't getting any time to dry before the next shower! Mind, now, the amt. of rain we get is very little with the exception of yesterday when we finally got 2 inches!!! At last! I'm hoping now, that we may have a good couple of dry-ish days so maybe I can mow sometime over the weekend. (before it has a chance to get too high and clog up the mower!) hehe
You're doing great on your goals!! If I were you, when day 100 is met, I'd turn around the very next day and set another 100 day goal while your body is in goal mode!! We'll probably be in 5% Fall challenge by then, so you have a really good reason, aside from the good it'll do ya! hehe (I need to follow a bit of my own good advice, right?)
Keep doing the great work you are doing!! Fight the good fight and Never Give up!! Love ya, Carrie!! (((HUGS)))
