Day 100 of 100 -- Challenge Completed!

Thursday, August 28, 2014

I just finished writing a blog and lost it -- frustrating!

Today is the 100th day of my personal challenge. This is from my first day..."I am ready to get back on track. My birthday is in 100 days. So I am starting a challenge for myself to lose 15-20 lbs. My goal is to be at 225 or below by my birthday. Many of the following goals had gone by the wayside and they used to be habits. Time to input them back into my routine."

I only lost 6 pounds, but my daily goals did become habits again.

I have learned that it is okay not to reach my daily goals 100% of the time. Life gets in the way. I just pick up and do them the next day.

My frustration level is with losing the weight. I reach my daily goals -- eat well, exercise and still can't lose weight or or it is extremely slow. But I will not give up. I lost my quit long time ago and will continue on.

There are 126 days until Dec 31st. I am challenging myself to lose another 6 pounds and be out of the 230's. I know that doesn't seem like much, but this will also be during the holidays and the Fall is always harder for me to lose.

I also will be seeing my doctor next week and will discuss with him what I can do. I also have signed up for a weight loss coach through my insurance company.

My Daily Goals - Day 100 of 100:

1. Track ALL food & exercise emoticon we went out to eat for my birthday and I didn't track supper
2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (minimum of 64 oz) emoticon
3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes emoticon
4. Eat 5 servings of freggies emoticon
5. High protein breakfast emoticon
6. Eliminate morning snack emoticon
7. Blog Daily emoticon

emoticon Sticking with it for 100 days!!
I am so proud of you!!

Make sure your dr tests your thyroid. Any time mine isn't right, losing is harder! I also think sometimes that God tests us at a plateau to see how committed we are. Also it sometimes takes our bodies time to adjust to a lower weight before it goes any lower. And maybe you put on some muscle!!

I KNOW you know all this already!! I just wanted to try to encourage you to emoticon

Love ya, Buddy!! emoticon

Way to go! 6 pounds gone & staying on track for 100 days is emoticon

As you know pound wise my first 5% challenge fell flat, but I had several NSV that I celebrated. I've been thinking about doing a 100 day challenge as well. I haven't decided what it will be.

God Bless

You are doing well. I am a 'frustrated slow loser', too. Would never win a 'biggest loser contest.'

Have a great weekend! emoticon

Way to go, Carrie!!! WooHoo!!! Fantastic!! 6 pounds gone is still 6 pounds gone, no matter how you look at it!! And it's GONE!!! No looking back....only forward!! I'm so proud of you!! Happy Birthday, my friend!! A nice birthday present for yourself!! I see why you chose to do this challenge culminating with your birthday!! Nice!!
Now that you're back on board, good and sound, you should really have no trouble in the Fall ( even if you think it's a difficult time for you). You can do anything you put your mind to, and if you make up your mind that life just isn't going to interfere so much, it won't!
Congratulations, my friend!! Have a super nice day!!! (((HUGS)))

    You are doing really well.
I understand your frustrations but agree that it is ok if you are not 100% every day. As long as you do the best and as much as you can each day, there is no room for being hard on yourself.

Days 92-98 of 100 -- Flat Out

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

This last week has been HECTIC! I had no reserve to get on and blog. I was getting reading for carpet installation by packing up things, moving furniture and painting. It was nice to be able to paint and not worry if it got on the carpet!

I also had two church meetings (one for Children's Ministry and one for Small Group Leader's) on Wed & Friday nights.

Every night it was after 11:00 or later that I went to bed and I am used to going to bed @9:30.

On Thursday while the carpet was being installed I was offline and basically stayed in my bedroom and sewed on the kilt. I got half of the 34 pleats done. I finished the rest of them today. My goal is to finish the kilt by Friday. It is all hand sewn.

Today our new couches were delivered. I still have all the unpacking and putting things back but I need to finish the kilt first.

I did okay on most of my daily goals.

You're doing great! You have worked like a horse these past weeks!! Packing things, moving things, painting things and even though you may not have gotten time on your exercise machine or did any workout videos or went out and taken a walk, you got tons of exercise!!! Kudos to you, my friend! I can't believe how fast your 100 days is passing!! You're nearly there!!! I think I might try something similar. Maybe it will help me get off my duff and keep at it!!
Once you get your renewal of the house all done, it'd be sweet if you could get some pics to post! I'd love to see your new and improved home!! Almost like having a new house!
Take care, Carrie and keep up the fabulous work on your goals!! (((HUGS)))

Days 89-91 of 100 -- Getting Ready

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Saturday was spent moving furniture out into the garage, then we went shopping for new couches. We had picked one set out a year ago. The couch is 102" - we wanted a big couch that would sit 4 people -- our family is growing and we needed more seating in our living room. We wanted to make sure it was the right one. We got home late and needed to finish preparing for teaching Sunday School the next day.

Sunday we had to be at church early to set up as we are in a temporary facility for the next three weeks. After church, we had a couple more errands to run & get some groceries. By the time we got home it was 3:30. So we had a late lunch, early supper. Then we started painting. My husband did the walls and I did the baseboards. We just was able to do the dining room - it has vaulted ceiling.

Today, I finished packing up my sewing room. After supper we finished painting the main level and the upstairs hallway. It is almost 10:30 and I am exhausted. Time to go to bed.

Oh, by the way - I lost 1 pound over the weekend!

Look at you go!!!! What are you ??? Wonder Woman or something?!?! hehe Are you getting whole house carpeting? We almost did (way back when) but decided just the bedrooms so we didn't have to step out of bed on a cold floor. There was carpet in the living room when we moved it, but it was nasty! Out it went!
You're doing great on your goals, hon! Keep up the great work (((HUGS)))
