Moving thur My Journey In Peace

Sunday, June 17, 2012

I am in my 3rd week of weight loss surgery classes. All is well I know I will be feeling much better after surgery.

Now I am dragging. We went to visit family this weekend and as we were driving I spotted a exercise bike on someone's lawn for free. DH place it on the top of the car and brought it home.

It works and it is small enough to fit in my livingroom. I am so excited God is placing me in all the right places.

I did 10mins of riding and I was tired. I will continue but maybe at a slower pace.

I am making my list for food and things I will need after sugary. When my classes are over June 28 I will go shopping and get what I need.

Have a great week everyone

Janet emoticon

A bit of advice on that pre-surgery shopping trip... Don't buy too much of anything. Your tastebuds will probably change. Things I LOVED pre-op, I couldn't tolerate at all after surgery. I wasted a lot of money on protein that I stalked up on and then could no longer stomach.

I Started the Gastric By-Pass journey

Thursday, June 07, 2012

Hi All

I got my Cpass machine for the sleep apnea. My first night went well I slept well and hope I will sleep better as the nights go on.

I started the first of four classes pre-surgery. I also went to my therapist this is part of my support system on my journey.

Also seem a Exercise Physiologist what a opportunity I felt great to talk to someone who understood and has a plan of action. This makes me accountable.

I had a big day today and all went well. I am on my way to being the best that I can be.

My mantra

I will not give up on myself.

I am the only one that can make it happen for me with God's help .

I have the power to succeed or fail. Choose to succeed.

Janet - I wish you all the best in this process. I had two cousins who did this process and they are both doing well.

Take care of yourself and do one step at a time.

No News is Good News!!!!!

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Things have been pretty calm here. I am waiting for my weight loss surgery classes to start next week.

I have lost a few inches my clothes are easier to put on. I am enjoying the warm days in my back yard.

I am moving more that is always a good thing.

I have slowed down on the dr's appts so nothing has changed there.

All in all I am feeling much better my blood pressure is under control this makes me very happy when I am feeling better.

Mind, body and soul. Keeping them balance do my best and for give myself and have fun.

I have permission to be human - I don't have to change everything at once or be in a hurry to reach my goals. Take a few baby steps and then a few more and before I know it, I will l have completed a long journey -

Have a peaceful week my sparkfriends!!!!!

I Walk By Faith not by sight

Sunday, May 13, 2012

All is well. I went for a sleep study and I do have sleep aptna. What a relief I felt when they put the mask on in the middle of the study. Hopefully this will help with my blood pressure too.

As of now the weight loss surgery is still on according to my primary care dr. So I am pleased about that.

My biggest worry is weight loss. My body will not let go of the weight no matter what I eat or how little I eat. I do small exercises like parking and walking far. I have been in the back yard doing yard work. I have enjoyed this so much. After coming from North Carolina where we lived in an apartment.

My blood pressure has been stable emoticon. I work at keeping a balance in my daily life. This keeps the depression away. My DH has been just wonderful.

My goal this far is to keep to my food plan even if I don't see a weight loss. The dietitian tells me to maintain is all I have to do.

So I walk by faith not by sight trusting and believing that there is a power greater than myself directing my life.

I will not give up on myself. I am the only one that can make it happen for me with God's help . I have the power to succeed or fail. Choose to succeed.

You are doing a wonderful job looking after yourself. It is also wonderful that your DH is very supportive that makes a great difference.

Janet, your faith will see you through. What we want is not always what we need, but God does know exactly what we need and when. Faith is the best thing to hold on to...God's design is perfect!
