Day Before the Spring Challenge 2011

I received the email on the 1st challenge. I was amazed. I thought this was going to be boring, not so. I am thrilled at how I can sat at my computer and have a whole world just open up to me. I can place myself somewhere else and still be at home. emoticon. But down to business now. What is on my mind is exercise. I feel what I feel like doing is not enough and what I can do I may not go there, if you know what I mean. So what I have done is joined a Xbox kinect team hoping I can play xbox with someone for an hour. Then walk 30 minutes. Then spend the other 30 minutes walking up some steps at work or when I go to the food store parking maybe a block away emoticon. I will have a concrete plan by tomorrow.
I would like to join the gym around the corner from me it is open 24 hours. When my husband friends come over this would be my time to just step out for an hour and come right back. Well we will see I may just do that emoticon just for me

    I've been gone all day. I wanted to check with you to see what you planned on doing tomorrow. Wish we had a Kinect so we could play together. The xBox lives in my 16 yo son's room. Don't think he'd appreciate mom tromping in there and working out. But who knows...

Sat. and Sundays are usually my light workout days, just playing around and stuff. But I think I'll amp it up a little now. If the weather's nice, I'm gonna try to see if I can improve my time on a one-mile walk and then try to set some high scores on Wii Fit. If it's raining, I'll hit the elliptical and Wii Fit. That's my plan. Can we check in with each other on the exercise stuff?

I'm excited. Gotta go get a good night's sleep so I'll be ready to go, go, go!

Pre Big Spring Challenge******2011

Well I am feeling a lot more relaxed about this leg on my journey. I am excited. I have lots of people I have met. I feel the Spark Love from all. I lost a pound today. This just tells me no matter what I do I continue to be true to myself. Challenge or not I will continue this path walk this journey. Why? It feels good. I am feeling emoticon. So much better than 2 months ago. I feel only good things can happen and I see many many examples of that on SP.

The Big Spring Challenge - 2011

I have never done a challenge before I must admit I am fearful. My fear is not being committed to myself enough to finish. I have been reading the motivation pages everyday. About goals and how to obtain them. I have started a journal. My food is clean however exercise I can not seem to commit to at least 15 minutes a day. Confession is good for the soul. So I know sharing this will make a difference next week and I can get back to business of working my body out. I will start today!!!!

    2, 10 minute sessions of cardio, a day, will quickly become addictive! I found that once I learned a simple strength-training routine, it was simple-enough to do it at least twice a week.

    You can do it, Janet!! Perhaps start smaller with something like 5 minutes a day or even commit to THINKING about the commitment to exercise for 5 minutes a day. Baby steps are a great way to go! You can do this!!!!

My husband took me out to dinner. I did GREAT. We went to a chinese buffet. I like this because I can pick and chose what I want. I had veggies cold and hot, salad and fish. Sweeties did not even cross my mind. I rather make my own.

This was a big deal we never go out to eat. Now I know I can do IT!!!

I am loving this I am feeling great emotional. I feel positive and very grateful for all that I have and all that comes my way. That is a mental health state I have longed for. No worries!!!!
Just being thankful. Minding my own business, not feeling I can fix anyone but my self. Being appreciative for my husband who have put with me in all the changes and inconsistencies, that is love.
