Back to Square One

Friday, November 25, 2011

I am starting Atkins again. This is my back to square one. I realize this meal plan gives my body the kick start I need to get back on track. I am also preparing my mind by not feeling like I did something wrong. This is all about loving myself and accepts where I am in my life.

I feel strong and positive about this journey I am on.

I am taking baby steps, writing and keeping my mantra alive.

I will not give up on myself. I am the only one that can make it happen for me with God's help .

I have the power to succeed or fail.

I choose to succeed.

Janet

Good for you for loving yourself and accepting where you are. You have to be good to yourself. If the diet works for you and is good for your body and makes you feel your best then you can do it! If it's something that makes you feel deprived or lethargic then is there something else you can do? What works best for you and is best for your health and your body is the right thing.

We all need to remind ourselves of the basics.

The Atkins diet can be a kickstart--or a nightmare. If you have kidney issues, that much protein is NEVER a good idea, you will only worsen the damage. Do check 1)with a RENAL nutrition specialist, and 2)your doctor, before yoiu embark on anything like that, to make sure you get optimum nutrition WITHOUT further kidney issues!

Check out the list of foods to avoid in the articles in the LIBRARY for our ESRD team... work your menus around THAT. It is tough, but do-able... and healthier for you with the issues you have.

I would really hate to see you getting sick, m'dear!

I am still here

Saturday, October 01, 2011

Thank you everyone for your support. I fell off the wagon. I have not tracked any food. The only exercise I do is walk up 3 flights of stair to get to my apartment. And the parking lot to my office.

I am still working full time. My manger has been on and off about this. I have not been very proactive about what I want to do. So I am full time for today. This could change tomorrow.

I signed up for a 5k Oct 29 my job is sponsoring it. I am good with that. In the meantime I am good.

My mantra

I will not give up on myself. I am the only one that can make it happen for me with God's help . I have the power to succeed or fail. Choose to succeed.

I know how frustrating it can be not knowing what the future of your job will be. (I was there myself this fall!) Trust yourself, know that God has a plan for each of us and give yourself a HUGE pat on the back for signing up for the 5K. Everything worked out with my job and I am sure that everything will also work out for you.

    Keep it up!

I'm glad to hear you're doing a 5k. Something to aim for.

Don't beat yourself up. You're human. We all have setbacks.

You can get back on track!

Sometimes you just need a break, I think. The important thing is that you are still focused and you are looking, positively, to the future with your upcoming 5K. That is fantastic!

PEPIPOI is right, we're all allowed to be human and get off track a bit. According to Sophocles, "Success is dependent on effort." As long as you don't quit trying, you're going to be successful... and it's perfectly okay to take a breather if you need to, as long as it doesn't end with that! LOL

Even the smallest action out of the norm is an achievement.

I withdrew from the Fall Challenge

Friday, September 23, 2011

I did not want to be the person who signs and and never weigh in and never seem. So I deciede to let the team leader know. this is not a great time for me for commitments. I wanted to give others the chance since there is a waiting list.

I will join the winter challenge. So I am going to focus on moving my body and getting a group of foods that work. Meaning my body with lose some weight. I have gained.

I am patient with myself and loving it took a lifetime to get this size and this will not happen overnight.

My Mantra

I will not give up on myself. I am the only one that can make it happen for me with God's help . I have the power to succeed or fail.

Choose to succeed.

Even though I'm sure it's disappointing you are doing the right thing and being honest with yourself and giving yourself the time to do what is right for you.

There may be another way.

Good job on not giving up and realizing you can make it happen with God's help. I'll pray for you and for God to show you the right way to go. You will succeed.

I'm happy to be your Spark friend and we can help each other along the way.

Hey there, Miss Janet, my gentle friend! I'm so impressed that you've made this choice. It's so hard to step back and do what's right for us sometimes, especially if it "feels" like "quitting." It's NOT quitting to readjust your views and priorities. And we benefit from releasing things that make us feel pressure. You are doing what's right for you, and I applaud that!

Keep up the loving you!

The Balancing Act part I

Tuesday, September 06, 2011

My body is holding on the water my weight is up 4 pounds. I am going to start taking another BP pill I hope this will help.

I am not going to be discouraged. All is well. With time and determination I can get to where I am suppose to be.

In my past rest has been the answer. However with full time working I will be balanced. I am going to seek and pray for guidance with this.

Take care

Janet

I'm so glad you are staying positive, I had a very big *gain* last week since I'm on a high salt diet and it can be frustrating if you don't keep it in perspective. I'm glad you have the right attitude, it will all work out in the end; rest when you can and drink extra water. Peace and Blessings

Sleeping Giant Is Awake

Monday, September 05, 2011

I am still working full time. They offered me to work part time at the home office and part time at the warehouse CSR. So this is a blessing. I am so grateful.

My food is good. I am on a consistent path. I so far have found a group of foods that are working with my body. How can I tell?? When the body is carrying out daily function with no issues. (Sleep, recover from my day in a reasonable time 24 hours, elimination daily, emotions are up beat and positive, see the glass 1/2 full not 1/2 empty, set daily goals, be my best friend)

Exercise I just made the best from what is in front of me. Parking far in the parking lot at work or shopping. This is where I am right now.

I enjoy read and sharing with my spark friends. I feel so loved.

thank you!!!!!!

Have a great week!!!
