Wow, thanks to the suggestions from others I was a success. I went out for dinner for my 24th anniversary. We ate at a restaurant I knew. Ideal fish. It is on the beach by the boardwalk in my town. My husband orders coconut prawns appetitizer. I had two but I took off the breading. I ordered a shrimp louie with dress on the side. It was basically a 1/2 cup of bay shrimp, hard boiled egg, onions and for some reason a mess of celery. I used a tiny bit of the dressing and left most of it there. We took a walk on the boardwalk after dinner ( my youngest was working at the sunglasses shop) we saw her and I got a carmel apple. Lot of walking. Gained no weight the next day SOOO happy. But I thought a lot about what I was going to do before doing it and got great advise.

Well, was up at 4am to take my mom to airport. She is going to visit a friend in DC for the week. Wow, I usually get up around 9am due to my Swing shift schedule so this will be a long day. I'm off from the hospital today. It's my 24th wedding anniversary and I think I'm going out to dinner. I don't want to blow it on my eating. Hoping others have suggestions on eating out and eating well. I'm going to try to get to the gym. That should help too. I need to get back to the routine this week. I don't want the weight to keep creeping up and not dropping off.

    When I eat out I make sure to have lots of veggies and water. Look for grilled foods, skip the pasta and bread and ask for dressings on side (dip the fork in the sauce). Lots of restaurants have nutritional info online so you can chose appropriately ahead of the time. If you indulge, don't worry about it! One less than ideal meal (or several days worth) is not going matter over a lifetime of healthy eating.

Most importantly, enjoy your anniversary! Life was meant to be lived and not worried over. Do your best today then do better tomorrow!

Well, I feel like I've gained all my weight back in one weekend. I know at least three pounds. it's been crazy. Hope this week gets better.

    The scale doesn't tell the whole story. I'm with Triangle-Woman....keep moving forward. It really is a marathon not a sprint. :)

    My weight can fluctuate 6 lbs up or down depending on how hot it is, how much salt I've eaten and how much water I've drunk. If don't drink enough water, my body hangs onto it like a camel!!

Take a compass on this journey, not a clock. If you are moving in the right direction, you are doing great.

My daughters highschool graduation is TOMORROW! House is a mess, Still have more food to buy. I'm making pulled pork taco's Giant Salad Giant Fruit Salad Beans and Rice. Bought a cake and Pie. Hummus and crackers plus chips and Salsa. Making lemonade too. SOOO CRAZY. I was not going to go to the gym. But I convinced myself that eveything would go better if I did. It did!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to start the cleaning. AAAAHHHH..... I'm sure it will be ok :)

Well, day off from work. Got my daughters highschool graduation this friday. A bit stressed. Trying to get the house together ( it's under construction) so it's a task. Figuring out the menu for the bbq after party. I'm thinking tons of grilled veggies. Some kind of meat for taco bar. Salad, tortia chips and salsa so far.
