so it's a day off from the gym

My goodness, I'm not a 5 hour a night sleeper. I'm an 8 hour person. I've been sleeping 5 hours a night on my work nights because I can't seem to sleep past 7;15am. It's funny when the kids where home. I could never sleep enough in the morning. Now that they are away at college I can't sleep in because my body isn't letting me. Maybe I'm missing that familiar sound of noise that gets me back to sleep. Well, my girls are going to come home for the weekend and will be here early evening. My son will probably make an appearance as well. I'll be complaining about no sleep due to this tomorrow :) But will be so happy to see them. I'm not even going to attempt the gym. I worked out the last 4 days straight so I'm not feeling too bad. Hopefully will get there tomorrow. But will see. I know I will get there Sunday evening for sure.

Little celebration. Down 27.5 pounds now. Yeah!! Had a really hard night at work. But didn't really feel like eating because of it. Family is coming in for southern california. I'm really excited bout meeting my goal weight by thanksgiving!!! I keep looking at dresses I might want to buy. That's so nice to be excited bought clothing instead of using it to camouflage. I love clothing and fashion. But for myself it's been hard to wear what I want and look the way I want. I'm not there yet but things are looking better. I'm getting great compliments and it's helping me go forward. My BMI is almost in the healthy zone. Should be by next week. Back problems, GONE! Hip problem, so much better. It's funny how in the medical field we treat all the symptoms of obesity ( back pain/ injury, diabetes, digestion / abdominal pain, and so much more) instead of just suggesting people loose weight. It's not easy to loose weight but it's not easy to have all the health problems the weight causes.

I think doctors do often suggest losing weight, BUT it goes in one ear and out the other when the patient doesn't want that solution. (And that's if it doesn't result in the patient getting upset or offended.)

very sore

So, I woke up very sore but happy. Slept very well. I'm going to stretch even more today. Get in my workout at around 11am and go to work at 3pm. My girls are coming home from college for the weekend. My family members do a triathlon relay team ( this year two) here. My daughter's will head up each team doing the swimming portion. My husband and my brother with cycle. My sister and nephew will be doing the running. It's fun to watch. I'm sure I will take part some day. I just know it will be the swim and I haven't swam in a while. Well, it's a year away :) I will be making the pre tri dinner. French onion soup and veggie platter. Braised chicken in a wine sauce, sweet and regular potatoes, and big salad. Chocolate mousse dessert with shortbread cookie.

Well, for the last two weeks I've gone up and then back down in weight by 2 pounds. Today the scale finally showed a new low. Down a pound that I had not already lost, if that makes any sense. Hoping this is a trend for the week. Worked out in the evening last night. I didn't have work and choose this over watching tv. It was good. Glad I did it. Going to try for the same thing tonight.

I did 10 minutes of stretching before my workout yesterday and was able to run without knee pain. YEAH!! Will do it again today and hope for the best. 5K here I come
