Well, just my first interval workout. I ran a mile in 10 mins. then did incline walking then ran 4 more times( .25 mile each time) within the the rest of the hour workout. So running was a total of 2 miles. Not straight but it was done. And the incline was a great workout too. Very happy. Think I might be able to run a 5k some day :)

Feel The need to change it up

So, skipped gym yesterday. Weight did not go up. Today's plan. I'm going to do my run on treadmill then incline. then bring it down and run again, then incline and continue a pattern till the hour is done. Sort of an interval thing. Will see how it goes. Suppose to be a work night for me but I might get called off. If I do not I should not have any problems eating right :) Work tends to make it easy as long as I don't eat at midnight when I get home :)

The end to the weekend

This was one of my weekends off from the hospital. I Skipped my workout yesterday and my husband and I went to a hot tub place for a private hot tub for and hour. Very relaxing. Today I went back to the gym. So I've tired the new way of working out on the treadmill and I'm not really sure if it's giving me the best workout. I was told by another gym member to lower my incline and stop holding on to get a better workout. Well, today I went back to my 10 min run on 0% incline and then 50 mintues at 15% incline ( had to hang on) I felt like my workout was better. Well, I'll figure it out. tonight is a stomach crunch night. I'm trying to do 100 crunches of each straight and each side. Ugh... but I feel better after. I'm trying to do this 3 x a week

It's a good morning

Well, the sun is out. I'm back down to my lowest weight since starting this new venture of weight loss. I was up for the last few days but came back down as of this morning. I'm not sure what triggered the up swing. I really didn't over eat. Anyway, the workout change seemed to show some results this morning. I will now not hang on to the treadmill and use my arms as well as the rest of my body :)

Changed up Treadmil

So I'm in the process of working out on the treadmill today when the guy next to me taps me and told me he knows how I can get a better workout. I always put the treadmill on 15% incline and hang on for dear life for an hour. He told me to lower the incline and don't hang on. Use my arms while walking ( or hiking as I put it) I decided to try it. It was harder. Maybe this will help my middle section too. Nice advise. He said he used a personal trainer and that what he got from him so he was passing it on. Nice. Hope it works me out more :)

  I just changed my treadmill workout too. 5% incline at 4 mph for an hour. Kicked my rear end this morning but I felt great. Gonna up the mph to 4.2 and see how I do next time. Love good advice from people.

    Don't you just love the helpful people at the gym? I have a guy at mine that always gives me a thumbs up when he sees me. I love it!
