big relief

So, life has been very crazy. My house was in foreclosure and today it's NOT!! We are paid up and have our new rate and lower payment. We had to make a huge payment. My husband and myself have been working So hard. It is done. Second time this has happened in the last 2 years. Hopefully everything will look up from now on. Not working out today. Just didn't work out but I'm not going to worry about it. I'm eating a great dinner of baked salmon with dill side of grilled sweet potatoes and zucchini. I feel very relieved. Hope this feeling last a while

Very nice all the support over my cat Josephine being gone. Thank you. Well, trying to get back on track. Work was sooo hard last night. I'm a nursing assistant and I help support the nursing staff on a med surg floor I'm usually the only CNA on the floor. Had 20 patients last night. Our unit has most of the stroke patients, back surgeries, and resp. issues and whatever else needs a place. Working with stroke patients that are very limited in movement can be soo physically demanding. I didn't work out yesterday but did go to work and I lost a pound :) Nice. not working today and I know I need to go to gym. I'm thinking about an evening workout around 8pm. That's my plan at the moment. I just got back from target with my son. He was stopping by to pick up my cat food for his cat. He wanted to go to target so I went with him. Nice to see him. Anyway, calmer day. Was really needed.

Wow, that was a bad day

So, yesterday right after I finished posting my blog entry. The door bell rang. A man was there saying he had bad new and told be to come outside. I started to come out with him then stopped and said, What? It's your cat. I stopped right there and knew what had happen and asked where she was. He said in the middle of the street. He said I didn't hit her I just found her. I started crying. She was dead. I didn't want to see. He offered to put her on the side of the road and I thanked him so much. My wonderful neighbor Joanie came at the same time and wrapped her up and placed her in a box for me. I couldn't stop crying. I'm so thankful for this people. Spent a good hour crying. She was the best cat ever. 8.5 years old. So loving and wonderful. My husband came home for lunch and buried her. We both were so upset. I got myself together and went to gym but couldn't run. I did workout for an hour on treadmill. I was still glad I did it but it was in a daze. Today is better day. Still sad, Kids where all informed ( two away at college) the other lives around the corner. They said such nice things about her on facebook. I had ever reason to over eat but didn't. Today is better but still sad. She was so important to everyone in our family. There will never be another Josephine :(

    i am so sorry for your loss. i am going to have to put my 17 yr old cat to sleep with in the next day or two. he has a tumor in his mouth, dx about a month ago, no cure and now he has just about stopped eating. it is so hard. all we can do is remember all the brought to our lives.

    It's amazing that such little heartbeats invoke such a vast amount of love from us. No matter how much we try, we can never prepare ourselves for such things. I'm sure she was a wonderful little lady, who was very lucky to have such a loving family to come home to. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Trying not to beat myself up

Well I ate out twice this weekend very late and I'm up Three pounds!! This is not fun. I wasn't even going to step on the scale this morning but I needed to see what damage had been done. Now, to fix it. Workout planned at 10:30am. Toning session at 3 or 4pm. Planning on crunches, arm band work and some leg work. I know this could be a lot of water retention so I'm working on drinking water today. Plan for evening. EAT DINNER, not past 6pm. :) This last 20 pounds is a bit difficult. I was planning on going out with my husband last night and he he didn't finish his job till 8pm. I should have just eaten at 6 and said will do it another time

    Definitely dont beat yourself up! You're obviously back on the wagon and have a plan. Pat yourself on the back! All steps forward should be celebrated!

    Definitely don't beat yourself up. It doesn't burn enough calories to be efficient. emoticon

Tracking and knowing how much over you went allows you to adjust through the rest of this week so that the impact is only temporary.

Yesterday I decided to be a lazy. I guess I was so stoked on my weight loss that I let go of most of my issues for a day. I ate dinner at 8:00 pm with my sister and her family. We had fun making dinner and drinking wine. It's always a bad thing to eat late for me. I also didn't make it to the gym. But everyone needs a day like that. Just not everyday. Today I'm eating on track and going to gym in afternoon. After a bit of work. I feel a little more in control
