Nice to start the weekend with a pound down. I have a three day break from the hospital but will be working on my ebay store. Rather cold here. Feels like fall is coming early. we usually get some beautiful days in sept. i was not bikini ready this summer but will by oct. Need a tropical vacation :)

So I've been a little off lately. I know I'm missing my old life. Kids are off to college and I've been really alone this week. I know I need to make some adjustments to my lifestyle. I invited my son ( 21) over last night since I haven't seen him in a week or two. He lives around the corner but school is starting again for him and he is working a lot. Also he is now engaged to his girlfriend. That's cool. Anyway, I went out to lunch with my mom and over ate. There is something about who I'm eating with and how much. I guess I associate over eating with my family. If I was with someone else who I wasn't as comfortable with I won't have over ate. I'm trying to change my mindset and think like a thin person. I have done this in the past while eating out. Just didn't yesterday. Well, I did a 30 min workout at 8:30pm and redeemed myself. I stepped on the scale this morning and it has stayed the same. Yeah, that actually is a big accomplishment. Today, the plan is to think before doing. I'm planning a workout at 9:30am. I'm working the 3pm to 11:30pm shift tonight so eating late won't be a problem as long as I don't do it after work. I just drank a cup of water so I will be hydrated. Another thing I'm working on. My weight has been going up and back two pounds for over a week now. Time to get on to the next 5 pounds down. After workout it's veggie shopping time. I feel the urge for radishes :) and will pack myself a great dinner for work tonight

    it nice you know who can cause you to eat. that is the first step in the battle. you have a good plan to shop for veggies. Its always hard when the house is empty after have lots going on for several weeks just remember your Sparks friends to visit with. have a good week end

    I know how the eating out with a particular person can lead to different eating habits. (With my DDa it tends to be how much we talk - that it's easy to simply fork in more food without watching the quantity.)

I did something a little different. I didn't go to gym today. Did this stepper machine for 30 mins then did curls with band then 100 reg crunches then 100 on each side for a total of 200. I didn't sweat like I do on the treadmill. Still need to try something different

Woke up at 3:30am this morning. My daughter is moving into dorms 4 hours away. My husband is taking her stuff up and saying goodbye. She actually left 3 days ago and was staying with her sister ( my oldest) who is also attending the same university. I have to work late tonight so this is going to be a tough day. I feel the need to change things up a bit. I tend to eat the same things day after day because it's simple. I also do the same workout too. I think it's time to change it up and get motivated about the next 20 pounds. Would love to look great for my 44 birthday in October :)

So nice to have people know what I'm going through with last child leaving :) Appreciate all the comments. Today is a better day. My little daughter is with the bigger daughter grocery shopping for the first time. She told me she bought cauliflower so cute. I've learned something about my workouts and weight Loss. It seems that later ( afternoon and evening workouts) give me greater weight loss results. I'm going to experiment the rest of this week at doing later workouts. I usually workout around 10 or 11am but I'm going to push it to 3 or 4pm. I'm off work till thurs so this should be interesting.

    I used to exercise in the afternoons, but I found my family life can be complicated during this time of day. I am more consistent when I do it mid morning. You need to do what works for you!! emoticon
