Weeks Until Summer: 16!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Current Weight: 127.6

With 16 weeks left until summer, I can lose at least 10 pounds on the scale and finally get out of my 120s! I have been maintaining my weight between 124-126 pounds for about a year and have been in my 120s for 2 years!! I went up to 127.6 this week and I had enough of seeing 120s on my scale.

Goals by the end of the month:

March: 124
April: 121
May: 119
June: 117

Seems doable. I think I won't be cutting too many calories... I don't want to suddenly just eat 1200 calories. I still will be zig zagging my daily caloric intake... and increasing my workouts.

Here's my workout plan:

Mon, Wed, Fri- 55 mins of No More Trouble Zones by Jillian Micheals and at least 20 mins of cardio

Tues and Thurs- 20-30 mins of cardio on my Orbitrek.

I will be doing this workout plan for 4-5 weeks then change it up to avoid hitting a plateau. I will also try to do more outdoor activities for additional workouts.

What are you doing to get in shape for the summer? What are your goals?

We CAN do it!!

Sounds like a very possible -- and manageable -- summer prep plan.
I love your plan to changing up fitness. I miss freestylin' my gym visits. I'm in my 3rd week of p90x (next week it finally changes) and I'm getting bored silly.
I'm aiming for another 20 lbs or so in time for summer, so I'm going at a much more vigorous pace. I'm doing the dreaded 1200 calories of restriction, but it's my own fault for having terrible moderation control.

New Years Goals, Resolutions, & Dress. :)

Saturday, December 03, 2011

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. ~Oprah Winfrey

I can't believe how fast the year passed! :)

There's less than a month left of 2011!! I'm excited to see what 2012 has in store for me. Losing weight, like most people, has been one of my New Year's resolutions for years. This year, I'm hoping that this will be the last time I have losing weight as one of them. I'm currently 124.2 so I have about 10-12 pounds left to lose until I reach my goal weight. Since I have a little bit less than a month left in 2011, I would love to reach 120-121 by New Years. :) I'm pretty much love my body, but I would love to tone up my love handles and thighs.

I'm looking forward to 2012 and would love to start the new year off right. I found a cute dress this week that I'm planning to wear for New Years. What do you think?

I'm wearing a size 6 dress. I was wondering if I still will be able to wear it even if I lost 10 pounds (I would be 114 pounds). Wouldn't I be closer to a size 4 since I'm only 5'1?

I hope that it won't be too big for me to wear when I reach my goal weight.

Also, being more confident and not letting small things stress me out are on my New Year's resolution list.

What are your New Year's resolutions?

Great dress! I'm just a half inch taller than you and worry about the same thing...will losing weight affect how all my favorite clothes fit? But, then I think who cares? I'll be healthier...and also look and feel better! Have a great 2012!

If it doesn't cost too much, maybe you could buy both and get gift receipts for them. They might question why you're getting two of the same dress with gift receipts, so you may have to buy them at separate times or enlist the help of someone else. The reason I'm suggesting a gift receipt is because stores are usually more lenient with the amount of time you have before you have to return an item!

Either way, you look fantastic!

You look great in that dress. My hunch is that it would still fit but with a bit looser fit. Part of it depends on how snug it is now too.

I know what you mean about that niggling resolution. I probably shouldn't admit how many years I've had that resolution ... maybe eight consecutive years of not feeling 100% content with my body? Eight years too many. I want to say, "Done!" (Well given the maintenance beast you're never really "done," but it would be nice to feel content). I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of 2011 and the new year!

Beautiful! I wish I could get a new years dress. I have to work though :( I agree with the "getting it tailored" comment! I'm currently 132.4 and hope to be 129 by new years. I can't wait to get to where you are "pretty much loving my body". I'm so close and definitely more on track than I've ever felt. My goals for 2012 are to get to 115, and most of all be confident and HAPPY. It sounds so simple but I still have a hard time finding happiness. I will get there. Good luck on your goals!

First, I am very jealous of how small you are, way to go!

Second, my new years resolutions are going to be a "dirty dozen for 2012" some include, running a half marathon, starting a blog (www.katielookingforward.wordpress.
com ) making 12 donations, cooking 12 new recipes. I don't have a "lose x lbs" resolution, because those are the resolutions I always broke. So now I'm looking at making good healthy choices.

Forget How You Feel & Remember What You Deserve!

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

I finally broke though a mini plateau. I felt like I was stuck at 125-128 for months (it was only a month or so...LOL). I have weighed in at 123 for a few days so I can officially say that I have reached my end of November goal weight. There are only 5 weeks until New Years! I can't believe how fast this year pasted!

Goal by New Years: 119

I would love to reach around 119 by New Years and start the new year in my 110s. :)

No one said that life is easy; it has been tough! People seem to try to bring me down... But, I will remain positive and stand up for myself more often.

“Sometimes you have to forget how you feel & remember what you deserve.”

I deserve to be respected, be treated correctly, feel great about myself, and will not let anyone bring me down. Losing weight/ working out will also help me improve my confidence. I can do it!

Weeks Left Until Summer: 5

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

The past 2-3 months have been crazy. I did reach 119.8 pounds before Easter... Unfortunately, I fasted for Easter and gained back up to 124. After Easter, my life was a bit crazy so I was focused on maintaining between 122-124.

I'm currently 123.6 this morning. As of today, I increased my cardio (6 times a week- 45-60 mins) and went back to doing strength training 3 times a week.

End of the month goals:

May: 120 pounds
June: 117-118 pounds

July and Aug- I will focus on staying between 117-119.

I'm taking a summer break from the gym, but I will be working out at home because the gym opens too late and is closed mid-day. So I will focused on working out early in the morning before going to the beach or hanging out with friends. I will make time to workout.

What are your summer goals?

Pounds to go: 8.6

Only five weeks left?! Well closer to four weeks by now. That's crazy. I definitely feel the urgency. I had a strong week this past week and with a birthday coming up next Monday I want to drop a pound or two. And why stop there? Your goals look very reasonable. You have given yourself enough time to drop those nagging last pounds. Let's make it happen!

Weeks Left Until Summer: 15

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Countdown to summer begins!! There are 15 more weeks until summer and I'm finally back to 122.2!

Since I started going to the gym, I have gained weight (been weighing in between 123-125 lbs for almost 2 months). I have been working out 4-5 times a week (at least 30-50 mins of cardio and strength trained, 3 times a week for 30-40 mins). I assumed it was temporary water weight from changing up my workout plan, increase in appetite, or a mixture of a few things.

After almost 2 months of going to the gym, I finally realized that I never calculated how many calories I should be eating to lose weight at my current weight; I have only been eating to maintain my weight. Since starting my weight loss, I haven't been tracking my caloric intake, but as I get closer and closer to my goal weight, tracking calories and eating clean are extremely important.

Yesterday was the first day that I began tracking my caloric intake and will continue to track my calories from now to June. I should be consuming anywhere between 1350- 1750 calories daily. I will also continue to zig zag my calories (eat more calories on my most active days and less calories on my less active days). I'm hoping this will help me lose these last 7-10 pounds.

My main focus this month is to finally get to 120!

Hope you all are doing well. Make the next 3 months to summer count!

Stay positive.

You have made some awesome progress! I am also a shortie (5'2") and trying to get to the same goal weight as you pretty much. I was 120 in 2005 when i started college, graduated at 148lbs in 2009, did a lot of distance running in summer 2009 and got down to 135 then started to gain weight again winter 2010 and started 2011 at 154lbs.... I just took up running again and am at 148, working my way down again. You are an amazing inspiration! Keep it up, you can def hit your goal!
