Destiny being DELIVERED!!!Thursday, August 27, 2009
What an exciting morning it's been for me. I have long time been a fan of Hay House books and authors and have most recently completed the reading of the book by Peggy McColl (which I've shared with you along some blogs) - Your Destiny Switch. Upon investigating some of the tools I noticed that her company is based where I live - right here in Nepean, ON (Canada). How amazing is that?! So yesterday, I wrote an e-mail for 2 purposes... One to say I was thankful to know they were so close and if ever there was an event that I could attend to let me know. Most of the "I Can Do It" Conferences (all part of they Hay House stuff) are too far for me to attend but of course I aspire to do so someday... Two was to see if she'd like to come speak to our IAAP group when I run the program for 2010/2011 (eager on my part as I'm inviting way too early but I couldn't contain myself)... But HEY - it PAID OFF!!! ![]()

Oh, Helene, I want to go and we can't as we will be with friends who are from the Ottawa area, too. Everything always happens when we are not available. We always miss by just a few days!! Who! Who! Who! How fun it would have been to share that day with you!! But, in your defense, have a great, great time and just enjoy and soak it all up and be so proud that you took the step forward!! You are going to just have so much fun!! I used to go to "stuff" like that all the time when I worked in Beverly Hills, CA. So, my friend, take a deep breath - you don't have to come down to earth just yet -- and stay excited. You have had quite a couple of weeks, haven't you??? How wonderful for you, my sweet friend. You deserve it!! Now, I need to get things a little organized for this trip. Hopefully, I will pack as I get dressed in the morning---Jim will be thrilled!! I love making him happy!! He has been getting a little nervous but I decided it wasn't a matter of life or death and if we are a day late, we are a day late---I don't want that as it feels like a little bit of failing, but I am not going to pass out about it like I almost did yesterday!! Looking forward to growing and learning with these materials. Thank you for initially writing me and helping and encouraging me here. I am so happy that God is blessing you in your life. Peace and blessings, Vicki Report Inappropriate Comment |

Well the first day of school went off without a hitch! Work was good - but my productivity was a bit distracted as other tasks are coming up calling for attention so today, I'm determined to focus the morning on task. I signed up to a webinar on 'productivity' for this afternoon so that should be interesting.
I titled the blog today about 'staying strong' as I felt a bit like 'giving' in and ate a bit mindlessly when I came home. I also was tempted to give in and break my AF streak but I talked myself out of it. I had a bit of a blow up (with myself) because of a little thing that was well just not worth it... What was interesting is how I can 'catch' myself now and how I don't let those things ruin my mood for the entire day or night. It works if you are aware of your actions/re-actions, you can switch them into more positive actions/thoughts. It takes practice but I find it's becoming easier and the result is my feeling so much more peaceful inside. The things that used to tense me up or stress me out to no end don't anymore.
One example is how my step-daughter asked me to pick her up 'downtown'. Well nevermind that I hate driving in traffic but double it up with not knowing where I'm going and relying on my GPS to get me there. The challenges of the GPS not knowing about construction or one way streets at times... I would have freaked in the past and by the time she would have gotten in the car I would have been a mess, but last night, I laughed it off! It felt much better...
I still see room for improvement like how the 2nd lock I bought for my daughter didn't work and the stores were closed ... so I flung it (hard lol) into the garbage... but then went out to see if I could find one at the drug store and couldn't... I had time to cool off and realized that my reaction was a little crazy (the girls must have thought I was nuts lol).
BUT - I got over it quickly, didn't scream and slam doors... One comment my girls have told me on a few occasions is how I seem happier and that I don't scream as much anymore. That in itself is a true sign of advancement.
So the journey continues and I learn every day.
Today's goal is to eat light again (trying to do the calorie cycling as I had a higher day yesterday). I'm hoping that this trick will help kick start my metabolism. Oh and this weather, the cooler weather makes for wonderful walking weather. My lunch time walk yesterday was great with the wind blowing, the sun shining. It's so great on Wednesday's as I walk by the Parliament and saw the great number of people out for the "Yoga on the Hill" where they do free yoga classes on the grass/grounds in front of Parliament. What a sight to see. I must take my camera out with me to take some pics of these sights to share with you.
Another beautiful sunshine day ahead and cooler temperatures... so going to enjoy the lunch hour walk again!
Now off I go to my morning exercise!
Wishing you all a great day!
Here's an affirmation I read yesterday and shared with my Facebook Friends... here's to all my SP Friends:
"I am worthy of attracting unlimited abundance and prosperity into my life, regardless of what life experiences have gone before me. I only reinforce and contemplate images that are in harmony with this vision." Dr. Wayne Dyer

Things will always be sent to try you Helene but how you deal with them is the key and you're not allowing things to "get to you" as much, me too. Why give yourself the extra hassle of getting up tight eh? Good luck with your eating plan and goals Caz x Report Inappropriate Comment |
