Size 10 :)

Thursday, April 21, 2011

I know sizes in clothing vary but I went shopping around (just browsing for now) and tried on some size 10 jeans and they fit emoticon The jeans I'm currently wearing are size 13 and they are bagging on me of course. My plan is to wait it out a bit more before I go buy 'some' new clothes as I want to reward myself with a new wardrobe when I reach my goal weight (which I hope to attain by June 30th).

I left work yesterday just after 11am and made it in to my sister's around 4:15pm. I traveled through everything: rain, ice pellets, freezing rain and then snow. I hit one patch of slush and thank god I was holding on tightly to my wheel because I thought I was going to lose control but my angels were looking out for me.

After I arrived at my sister's it snowed some more. Looking out the window it looked like I was in a snow globe. I'm DONE with this winter weather! I hope that my trip back will not be in any inclement weather.

Today's plan is to visit with my sister a bit (and my great nephew Markus who turned 2 on April 10th). I leave at lunch time to head to town (Sudbury). I have many friends to see today and looking forward to it!

Luckily wherever I go there is a computer so I can stay connected, but perhaps not as caught up on posts/blogs... will get back to my regular schedule on Sunday friends! Wishing you all a fabulous Easter Long Weekend (I'm off officially now until my return to work Tuesday April 26th).

We got some of that nasty weather, too - but today is nice and sunny, albeit cool, but better than that stuff that came down.
Have a wonderful Easter!

Awesome job on the size 10s :) Just dont wait too long to get a few new things (I went to Salvation army before I was at my final size) because wearing things that hang just doesn't flatter :)

Wishes for just a 'normal' day

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

One of my colleagues was just released from hospital after spending almost 10 days there (4 of which were spent in ICU) and as she visited us at work, she said "I'm looking forward to coming to work tomorrow and just having a normal day... go to sleep tonight, wake up, walk the dogs, come to work..."

How enlightening! We fret and worry over silly things when the basics are what matters most. We very often take our health for granted, but as SParkers, we are making a difference by being here as we're on the path towards improving our health.

So as I focus on this, I make a wish for a normal day. I slept relatively well, woke up feeling good and getting ready to make my trip home. So far mother nature is not cooperating as we have freezing rain/ice pellets this morning which is supposed to change to rain later, but I checked the forecast where my sister lives and they are getting hit with SNOW. I usually avoid driving in these conditions at all costs but I am so anxious to head home... so I will play it by ear and most of all, I will make sure I play it safely. I have prayed to my angels to carry me home and back safely.

I will go to work until noon and then decide what I'm going to do. If my sister says the weather is too bad, then I will delay my departure to early tomorrow morning.

I talked to the girls last night and they are of course having a blast and enjoying the nice 80 degree Florida weather (laughing at me when I told them the weather I was having).

And so my workout will be skipped this morning as I get packed up and on stand by for departure.

Found this quote and thought it was a good one for today...

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.~ Helen Keller ... May mother nature cooperate so that I can arrive safely to visit my family and friends...

We make plans and God laughs. How often have i wished things were perfect so I could do the things I want or need to do? Looking back it amazes me how they got done even when things were not perfect. SP really helps keep me on course despite the unpredictable! Have a fun trip. This weather should be over by Tuesday.

Focus on the Good...

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

This is a practice that is something we need to do daily. There are events, moods, moons and other things that come into play that can affect how we feel and how we 'deal'...

I had a good day yesterday at work and went out to meet someone new, but no sparks there and while it's dissappointing, I'm not giving up. I think I'm too old fashioned in that I believe it should 'just happen' and sometimes just too impatient with the 'how' it will happen. I have heard and been told so very MANY times... it will happen when you least expect it, yet I also believe in the law of attraction, there the two work together.

So I focus on the good and acknowledge that it was a meeting which led me to meet another kind human being and share some good conversation. He was very sweet and provided me with lovely compliments, but I had to be honest and I e-mailed him to let him know that I did not feel any romantic attraction so as to not mis-lead in any way. So turn the page.

I work today and part of tomorrow - leaving for home and I am looking forward to the 'road trip' which is therapeutic in itself (tunes blaring and quiet 'me' time).

I booked my flight this morning to Moncton NB which is where I'll be headed in 24 days for the Canada District meeting for the association and I'm looking forward to that.

The rest of this month will be busy with "administrative" duties as I go to the Council's meeting on the 27th to receive the Administrative Professionals' Day Proclamation (which is a neat experience for sure). On May 3rd I attend a forum on Administrative Excellence... and then the conference from May 12 to 15th.

I have enough to keep me busy and distracted that's for sure.

Got in a nice lunch time walk yesterday despite the cooler weather and looking forward to today's walk as well. Getting a late start to my workout this morning but I'm headed down now for a quick 20mins workout! Turbo JAMming it!!

You sure do have a busy time ahead! I'm one of those "it will happen when you least expect it" people, at least it did for DH and I. But that's the attraction working! Just relax and enjoy, quit looking for things, and keep seeing and receiving all the wonder that is in your life.

Moon Cycles

Monday, April 18, 2011

I pulled my angel card today that spoke to moon cycles and ironically enough - tonight will be a full moon. Do you notice your moods change with the moon cycles?

I know I have been dealing with some emotions and perhaps it can be tied to the cycles... it's interesting as I try to become more aware of the 'why' of my behaviour at times (besides the monthly hormonal factor emoticon)

I just love my angel cards - the artwork in of itself is beautiful!

The message speaks to how the full moon is a perfect time to release anything you're done with... and I take this as a sign of new beginnings yet again. I always say that every day is a NEW life but today is even better!

It's the beginning of a very short work week for me as I leave to go visit 'back home' on Wednesday. Tonight, I am meeting up with another gentleman for coffee/tea (since I don't drink coffee). I'm having fun with this emoticon

Looking forward to the day ahead and starting it on the right foot... by 'walking away the pounds' for abs and may even throw in some of my ab work too. Hoping for nice weather so I can have my lunch time walk as well.

Happy Full Moon Monday SP Friends!!

That's very interesting, thanks for posting this... I never knew about energy levels being related to the phase of the moon, but it does make sense.
I'll have to track this, I've always believed the moon affects us in ways we all don't really understand completely.
