Too Busy!!

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

I wish I had time to write a long blog entry full of my deep thoughts. But I have been so crazy busy!! The great news is that I am totally sticking to my plan, in terms of eating and gym-going. Now gotta work on fitting in more sleep!!!!!! I know how important that is too!!!

By the way...dropped from an icky disgusting high of 159.2 on Tuesday to 155.6 on Wednesday. I hate the roller coaster, but at least if it went on fast, it comes off fast too.

Sweet!!! Hope today is just as great as yesterday! It's all about setting manageable goals - and if that means one day at a time, then that's how it's got to be!

Hi Susan - Way to go with sticking with it today! Woo Hoo!

You asked how do I track all that food? I'm neurotic about tracking... I track all day. But that's one advantage of sitting in front of a computer all day. And sometimes - it is just a best guess on some of the foods - hopefully it all washes out in the end which it seems to do. :)

The Real Deal Has Begun!

Monday, January 21, 2008

OK. I just decided upon 1,400 calories per day as my game plan, of course along with EXERCISE, water, sleep, and all the rest. I just planned tomorrow's food - wow 1,400 calories is NOT a lot of food! :( But I WILL BE TRUE TO MY WORD. I WILL eat only what I've planned for myself for tomorrow - a healthy and delicious day's menu that is the right amount to shrink me down to JAMAICA BEACH SIZE!!! Go me! Go go go!

Susan - if you plan for foods with lots of fiber and include lots of fruits and veggies you won't feel deprived and you'll feel full. Feel free to take a look at my Nutrition Tracker to see the kinds of things that include in my diet. You'll see some really awful days in there - and then you'll see some good ones. I try to aim for 1600 average each week with 3500+ of cardio calories burned. I honestly don't feel hungry most of the time and I don't feel like I am losing out on anything. Just Sparkmail me if you have any questions :)

Wild Weekend

Monday, January 21, 2008

So on Saturday when we got home from the gym we both had text messages from my friend Allie telling us that we needed to contact her ASAP. She starts off with, "I love how you like being spontaneous..." Anyway, we ended up at Foxwoods Saturday night and all day Sunday! Neither Jess or I gamble, and we're not into second-hand smoke, so we mostly stayed in the restaurants. I gained 5 pounds this weekend with the eating and DRINKING!! I was so drunk yesterday, I was drinking all afternoon. I was able to stop and have enough food and water that I wasn't hungover today.

I am proud that I went to my hotel gym and worked out for about a full 75 minutes. But I am very disappointed with my weight. I weigh 159 today. That's just about back up to where I started. I am SO buckling down and getting back to a good weight.

Hope you had a fun weekend. Sometimes we all need a weekend of fun! Good job going to the gym after all that!

Susan - you are probably just retaining water from being dehydrated. Drink water, water, water! You can do it! Sparkpeople works each and every time as I'm learning.

Get Serious, Susan

Friday, January 18, 2008

I'm not fooling myself. Eating the way I have been since Monday night is not good for me. Cut it out. NOW.

How'd you do yesterday? Did you keep up your exercise this week? I know it's hard to get back on track, but it feels so good too! Hope you have a great week!
