I weighed in today over at my website. 2 weeks ago, I lost 3.4lbs. This week!? I GAINED 3.4lbs. So crazy and I don't full understand but I know that I need to tighen up my eating in order to get an awesome result.

    You can do this! Our bodies sometimes trick us. Just keep an eye on calories in and calories out and you will be kickin the weight to the curb!

    Don't let the scale bring you down. So many reasons this could be as far as water retention, weighing at different times of day, etc. I also always go up a bit right before my monthly visitor. You could also be building muscle and that can affect weight.

I bet the next weigh in you'll be down. I do hate when that happens though, but what I did was measurements when my weight was up and found that I lost inches. You may want to try that.

    I read that weight can normally fluctuate as much as 5 lbs in a single day! So don't worry too much about what the scale says. It could be water retention (that time of the month?) or maybe if you've been doing strengh training you might gain because muscle weighs more than fat but it also takes up less space and it's muscle you want to gain. Pay more attention to how you feel and how your clothes fit from day to day. Good luck! emoticon

Rest Day

Yesterday, I was completely exhausted and hungry ALL day long. At work, I could barely keep my eyes open. What did I do? I LISTENED to my body. I went over my calories by 100ish but I felt like I needed that extra food. I wasnít eating out of boredom or stress or any type of emotion. I was just plain Ďol hungry so I gave my body what it was asking for. I think itís because I ate at the low end of my calorie range the day before. So my body wasnít used to it and tried to make up for that today. Does that make senseÖor did I just make that up!?

When I got home, I decided to skip the gym (and any exercise in general), had dinner, watched a little TV and went to bed by 8pm. Yesterday made me realized how IMPORTANT a rest day is. I hadnít had one last week, and I was going to take it today. However, it must have all caught up with me and Iím glad I listened to my body.

I donít know if Iím feeling a weight loss this week but I guess Iíll find out on Sunday! emoticon

    You said you went over your daily calorie consumption by 100 because you felt you were hungry. Sometimes when we think we are hungry, it is actually thirsty. Next time try drinking a glass of water, wait 10 minutes, and if you still feel the urge to eat then go for it!

Daily Mile and Fitness Wants

Is anyone here on Daily Mile? It's definitely got some similarities to Spark People but it's completely focused on exercise and training. I like that it records my exact times, exertion, the weather, my heart rate etc. I like to look at the graphs to see how my training is building over time. Also, it has a social media/community aspect to it too.
