We have an exercise plan

We have an exercise plan for the rest of the week. Today we're going back to the pool to swim. I doubt the waterpark will be open when we go, so no slide. emoticon The lap pool is always open, and so is the lazy river. They also have water aerobics classes going off and on throughout the day. Tomorrow we are going to go for a hike. It's only about 3 miles long, round trip, with a steep climb at the end. I am taking the camera! Wednesday and Thursday we're getting up early to use the fitness room here at the hotel.

I LOVE this pool. We did laps. We aren't up that high, but I can feel the increase in elevation. I did a bit of panting and gasping when I tried to swim hard. The pool is a little shorter than the pool at home, so I did 1 lap more of each part of my workout. My arms are sore! Ibuprofen is on my radar. After we finished laps we played. I took to the diving board (the low one) for 3 dives. We went down the three story slide. (That's my favorite activity.) I floated down the lazy river a couple times with my toes sticking out of the water. (Great ab work) I walked against the current once, and in general we just goofed around in the pool until we were fairly shriveled. Of course we sat in the hot tub before we left. Now this is vacation! emoticon

I'm eating healthier than I usually do when I travel, but I still feel like I'm eating too much. Some of the snacks I purchased at the deli (spinach/Greek yougurt dip and garlic hummus) are WAY too salty. I do have a lot of fresh fruit on hand. Tomorrow I should be able to get some much needed rest and catch up on my food tracker. I will feel a lot better when I can figure out my calorie and nutrition numbers.

    I weighed at the aquatic center this afternoon. I usually weigh first thing in the morning. Today I weighed mid afternoon. As far as I can tell, I haven't gained any weight yet. The goal this week is just to maintain my weight. There's so much out of my control. Breakfast seems to be the big meal. We're eating with dh's mom and dad every morning. After we swam this afternoon we went to the grocery store and bought 2 Lean Cuisine meals. So far today, I'm under my calorie range. If popcorn is popped tonight, I'll be able to have some.

    Eating while traveling is tough. I have a vacation coming up in a few weeks, and I have to say it's daunting to think about. It's a 13 day trip. Yikes!

Take wipes AND toothpicks (or dental floss). Today I ate at Chili's for lunch. I tried their grilled margarita chicken. It's delicious and filling. I had a lot of trouble with a piece of black bean that got stuck between my two front teeth. Now, wasn't that attractive! Couldn't shake it lose no matter what I did.

Take wipes! My hand (and steering wheel) got SO sticky! I drove for 45 minutes before I got home and could wash everything off. Hooray for the beginning of another lifestyle change. emoticon
