Slow but Good weight Loss

when I re-started a few weeks ago I had made it all the way up to 189 and now I am down to 174.9. This is crazy good. My exercise is only Leslie Sansone WATP videos as I am not getting much motivation to leave my house these days. I was real pumped up several months ago cause I thought a friend was moving here, and she didn't. My doctor even put me on depression meds 2 weeks ago. I must admit that I am not so much of a knot on a log, but I still don't feel as good as I thought I would. Maybe, the meds need more than 2 weeks to work. Anyway, I can't think of anything else to say. So, I'm just proud of myself for losing this much weight in such a short period of time. A great milestone will be to see 169 on the scale. emoticon

Oh Wow - Time Flies

emoticon to Everyone who left me birthday wishes. I shouldn't be saying that there's nobody to emoticon me. emoticon

I will try and get around to all of you to say Thanks, but I'm re-starting out, kind of slow.

I started emoticon 2years and 3 months ago and I noticed by some earlier 'other' online blogs that I started out really good with my eating and exercising. But, I allowed the "FUN" here @ SP to take over and it seemed like all I was doing was joining teams, answering questions, striving for the next trophy and staying up late at night to get my recommended daily allotment of SparkPoints. I do admit, there are worse websites - I could've been spending my time! emoticon emoticon ...

Nonetheless, somewhere between trying to0 hard and getting wrapped up in everything I stopped trying altogether. Another setback was i started back to college and had a freaky run-in w/an instructor and lost interest in school and everything after that. The weight piled back on. While here at SP, I mananged to get down 172# - but gained it all back and more. Last April, 2011, I hit all the way back up to 195 pounds. That was a freaky time. And lately, although the scale this morning said 180.0, which made me do the happy dance, my body is severely 'fatter' and out of shape. 2 years ago when I weighed 185 pounds, the pictures of my belly were even smaller. Amazing what happens when you head downward towards 50yrs old.

I went and had a mammogram (my first) and the results were normal, so I've come full circle with some other issues and now since I'm taking this new med and the doc is considering putting me on Insulin - fulltime unless I can show remarkable improvement, I've made up my mind to get on with my next 50 years! emoticon

and then I needed something Sweet.
however, i found out that i didn't even like the real Sweet anymore.
my hub is eating low cal & high fiber - so, by submersion, i'm doing the same.
i've dropped 2.5 # in just a short time.
i am not doing much else.
i'm reading some books and recovering from a sunburn.
next week i go buy my books @ the college Library and then the next week I start school. so, needless to say I won't be here much.
i'm hoping all the walking around campus, and study time will curb my appetite and boost my metabolism.
