Boy have I ever gotten off track

The past couple weeks I have just been eating badly and not paying attention to the amount of food I'm eating. I have gained back a couple pounds. Tomorrow morning it's back on the wagon and back to tracking again.

I don't even know why I'm doing it. Maybe not getting much sleep--have had insomnia lately and then too tired to work out--no energy. Making poor choices during the heatwave here by eating ice cream a couple times a day.

Going to plan my food for tomorrow and then tomorrow plan the rest of the week. I can do this.

Back on Spark

Returned to SparkPeople the other day and started tracking calories and macro-nutrient ratios. Am doing WW but discovered that my point allowance was not giving me enough food to eat and when I lost 8 pounds they took away 3 points. So I am there for another couple months and then I will cancel the online account. Once I get back to my Lifetime goal, though, I might return to meetings. I haven't made up my mind about that yet.

So, after discovering that I was eating around 1000 or less on WW I decided to just track over here and make sure I am eating well and enough food.

I was on here regularly earlier in the year but then my father's cancer got worse and I took a leave from work and went home. I was there with him the last 10 days of his life. That was almost 2 months ago. After watching him fight to the end I decided that I can keep my healthy lifestyle no matter what and it was time to start paying more attention to my food choices.

I have lost almost 10 lbs in the last 2 months which makes me happy. I spent a whole year gaining and losing the same 3 pounds. Now I seem to be on a downward trend that I hope continues.

    Good morning! I just started back on Spark a week or so ago. It is so much support to know you can jump on here anytime and find help and encouragement.

I am so glad you were able to be with your father. When My dad passed, my one brother was there and the other close by. I was a three hour drive away trying to go back and forth. Whew. It is a tough time, but a wonderful time at the same time.

Did 45 min dance dvd and the lower body video for today. The challenge for today to eat 3 fruits is easy for me because I eat 3, if not more, each day. Off to shower.


First day of bootcamp

Today, instead of doing the posted cardio video, I did my Just Dance dvd with Petra Kolber. Right now I am not to do high intensity cardio so this dvd will be what I will do for this 4 weeks and then I'll change to a different one for the next four weeks until I am able to go back to more high intensity workouts. It's 45 minutes and I hate doing cardio these days but since it's dance it's a fun 45 minutes.

Anyone have dance dvds they recommend?? Please share.

Finally received The Spark in the mail yesterday and am on chapter 4. I need to take a break from reading it and get some housework done and some lesson plans done since I go back to work tomorrow. Christmas break is over.

Gotta go.
