A little progress

Monday, November 19, 2012

A little is better than none, at least I have the needle moving the in the right direction this week.

My most challenging day is coming this week (I'm sure I'm not alone) but I am convincing myself that controlling my eating on Thanksgiving is empowering.

Hopefully my inner hunger monster gets the message and doesn't bother me too much.

I've brought more fruit with me to work for snacks. Apples mostly, as I am looking to keeping my hunger at a lower level than it generally seems to be. Though I truely belive most of it is mental and not my body actually needing food.

I have already gotten alot of support from this page so I believe I will try blogging more often and see if it helps to keep me honest with myself.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my posts. You guys rock!

    Awesome! Great progress! :)

Apples work for me against hunger every time! I eat up to 6 in one sitting, it makes me energized and keeps me goiing for a couple of hours until I get hungry again.

Have a great day!

Big Step back

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Holy crap I took a big step back last week.

Going to work hard to try to make up lost ground by next weeks weigh in.

So what went wrong? Well, everytime my elbow bent my mouth opened. I took my eyes off the ball and let fast food sneak it's greasy way into my stomach multiple times as well as neglecting my daily walks which generally empower me and help me resist the temptation of those damn Golden Archs.

Nothing wrong with snacks! Just make sure they are healthy :)
I know I am repeating myself, but the the more fruits you eat, the less junk you crave! :D

I was having one of those days yesterday myself. Shake off the guilt like Marie1615 said. It's a new day and still very early in the week! emoticon

My First Entry

Monday, November 05, 2012

I've met my goal two weeks in a row but I know that I will need support to keep it up. I still deal with alot of cravings especially when I'm bored and having the flu last week made it tougher to keep my mind occupied.

I hope everyone here has a wonderful successfull week and I look forward to getting to know you.

Keep it up! Sorry you have been sick. You need to watch cutting to much and compromising your immune system. I do that all the time and end up sabatoging my efforts. Glad you feel up to blogging!

I'm fairly new too, I hope to meet up with you again!

Two weeks is a great start! It seems tough at first. Sometimes we have a little fall. We're human. Just remember you have but to ask (even more times than not, not ask) support will always be there for you. Just a mouse click (or even at home) away....

Congrats on meeting your goals! Woohoo!
To deal with your cravings: the more raw fruits and veggies you eat, the less you will have to deal with cravings :)

Two weeks down is a great start! You've been able to stick with it and you will be able to continue to do so. Just remember how you feel, how much pride you should take in the success, and remind yourself of that whenever you feel a slip coming on. Lots of luck and here's hoping week 3 is as good as the first two!
