LOL! "Within" my range, I wrote - yes, JUST within my range. I hit the top number on the head, but at least I didn't go over.

I tried exercising for the first time since I started getting sick yesterday. I tried to do 30 minutes on the elliptical, but I only made 16. If I had been thinking sensibly, I'd have started off on the lowest setting to get myself back into exercise slowly. Instead, I thought, "I haven't exercised in days! I'd better make up for it!" and set it one setting higher than I usually do. What an idiot! I push myself to the limit with my normal setting. Why would I think I could do a harder workout when I haven't been well? Anyway, at least I got some exercise in - and it WAS intense. I'll be more sensible today.

Still no walks with the dogs. It was -40C with the wind chill yesterday, so I wasn't going to take them (or myself, for that matter) outside if it wasn't absolutely necessary. It's another cold one today, but I'd really like to take them out even just for a very short walk, if I can. The poor things are just going nuts with lack of exercise.

    Brrrr! I think it's time to buy a doggie treadmill :)

We all do silly things with exercise - I constantly have to rein myself back from doing things (or attempting to do things) that are way outside my current fitness level. :) Still, at least you got some exercise. And think of all the calories your body burned trying to fight off whatever you were ill with!

I'll find a silver lining there if it kills me. :)

Not too concerned with 14 calories; but I still ate above my range, which isn't going to help me any with losing weight. I'm going to have to get that back under control. Unless I'm deathly ill, I do tend to eat comfort foods when I'm not feeling well. Hopefully, I'm starting to get over this latest bout.

Unfortunately, I still wasn't feeling well enough to do any serious exercise yesterday. I moved around more than I had on the previous day though. So, that's a start back in the right direction. I didn't exercise, as planned, this morning; but I'm hoping to get myself in gear later today to start making up for my few days of couch-potato-ness.

Anwen has finished her anti-inflammatories, so we should be starting to take her for short walks today. If only it wasn't -25C with a wind chill of -38C! I just can't bear the thought of bundling up and still freezing my behind off (not to mention the dogs' behinds).

Well, yesterday was pretty much a wash-out. I felt fairly feverish and all I wanted to do was sleep. I did drag myself through my work day, but did absolutely nothing else.

A Terry's Chocolate Orange left over from Christmas did in my calorie count.

I guess I should take comfort in the fact that there even WAS chocolate left over from Christmas at this point in January. That virtually NEVER happens with me. In fact, there's still quite a lot of it tucked away on the topmost shelf in my pantry. I would definitely have scarfed it all down by now in years past.

    I would kill for a chocolate orange right at this moment. :) In fact, I know there is one over the road at my parents' place. *drool* So yes, I think it is a testament to your willpower that it was still there. Take the small victories, cut yourself some slack for feeling unwell, and do better the next day. :)

Day 30 - that means I've been working my plan properly for a full month - Yay, me!

Unfortunately, I started getting sick yesterday (another of those stupid cold sores with a fever, although not as bad as the other one I had recently). So, no exercise.

At least I stayed within my calorie range.

Day/Dydd 29 & Virtual Walk

Yesterday was a good active day - the first day I've hit my 10,000 step goal in a while. I did my elliptical in the morning and walked Nia 2 miles in the afternoon. (Poor little Anwen had to stay home as the vet said we should rest her until Tuesday. She didn't understand why she was being left behind. I felt like such a mean mummy.)

I also ate within my calorie range yesterday. So, that was good.

The scale hasn't budged this week; but, then, that's not particularly surprising considering the fact that I lost 4 lbs last week and was not as good with my calories this week. I'll work harder at that in the coming week.

Today is my virtual walk day. I did 19.51 miles this week, which places me in the lovely village of Paulerspury, Bucks. Aren't the thatched roofs beautiful?!
