This is either a DUH moment or an AHA moment
But whichever it turns out to be, the results are about the same. Looking at my calendar thus far in July, and making note of my weight entered in each little square I see how my weight makes it's little zig-zag across the month. Up and down and up and down. I started out at 145.8 went down, went up to 147.4 and now on the 13th I see I am once again at 145.8.
At this rate I'll go through the elation and depression endlessly, but will I ever get ahead? I know during my 3 years on SP I HAVE LOST WEIGHT. Usually I am doing the yo-yo think between lower and lower numbers, but ever since summer hit, my yo-yo routine seems to be stuck between 143 and 147 -- and those numbers are no where near my goal.
I know I either have to step up my exercise or eat differently. But I am almost always at the low end of my calorie intake, so changing my diet doesn't seem to be an option. Upping my exercise routine would be logical, but with it being so hot, evenings are about the only time I can tolerate a walk. Hmmmm! Wonder is hypnosis would work? lol

If you do your best I believe anyone and everyone can live a healthy lifestyle. And a healthy lifestyle means you will be trimming up, toning up, and getting healthy!
Why do I say that? I believe it's true. Granted, most people DO NOT GIVE THEIR BEST. They find excuses why they can't (or won't) exercise. They make choices they know they will regret and after a few weeks they give up because they haven't lost any weight.
YOU know what you can do. When you make excuses and choose not to do the right thing it is only hurting YOU!

Started out on Sunday at 147.4 and as we went to watch fireworks, we also decided to eat out that night. Splurged on fried chicken.
Monday was the actual 4th of July , however we had already seen the the night before. But we did BBQ hamburgers with cheese, I made potato salad and baked beans -- and I had a gin/tonic.
Tuesday the scale still said 147.2, and we went to Prescott to get more stone for the patio area I had been working on. Loading/unloading the stone was a work-out, but my main one was after getting home when I started working on the patio area again. DH went back after the rest of the load.
Wednesday the scale said 146.6 so the stone laying was doing me some good, and I even got in my one-mile walk in the evening!
Thursday the scale was even better at 145.8 . Still doing bits and pieces on the patio, but it's 95% done and I'm starting to haul the leftover stone down by the flower beds in front so I can do something with it there. It will provide a pretty little spot for our bench and table in front of one of my favorite flower beds:
Can't you just picture how good it will look with a little stone-paved area in front of this?
Who knows what my weight will be tomorrow morning -- and Friday will be a busy day too! It's my turn to water at the Community Garden, plus harvesting that evening, and then doing a bit of selling at the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning!
Wonder what the next 4 days will bring? See you on the Friday thru Tuesday blog!

This morning as I did my "bonus" spin after having acquired 25 spark points the hard way -- I watched as the wheel spun around and stopped at 3 just for a moment, then went two more numbers to the much nicer 10! That's when I knew the spin fairy was being especially nice to me today, and it made up for the lousy "2" I got on my regular spin!
Have a good day -- and look for the silver lining in all your clouds!

It started out with a quiet day at home doing the usual. There were flowers to water in the front yard -- even though they are on a drip system, I like to give them extra and also mist them. Then the same treatment for the flowers and veggies in the backyard. The weather was just a bit cooler from the sizzling weather we had the day before, so it felt wonderful.
Naturally all my stuff on the computer, that's an every day thing -- saw on Facebook how my daughter and grandaughter were doing on their vacation in Canada. Then at 5:00 p.m. it was the weekly meeting of the Community Garden Club. That was fun! From there we decided to eat out as we were heading down to Wickenburg to see the fireworks sponsored by the City. DH said he had attended 2 or 3 years ago and it was quite good, besides that, Wickenburg has supermarkets (full-sized) and we needed some fresh produce not available in our tiny little community.
So we stuffed ourselves at a favorite restaurant -- I ordered fried chicken and knew the scale would be tough on me the next day. We did our grocery shopping and put all the stuff that needed it into the ice chest, then off to find a good spot to view the fireworks. Although they only last for a matter of minutes (maybe 20 or so) it was a fun thing to watch, and as we did not park where the crowds of people were, we escaped the heavy traffic when it was over. All in all it was a very nice day.
Today is the actual 4th of July, and with the fireworks being over, today will be quiet and we will enjoy a BBQ for just DH and myself. 97% ground beef, grilled, add a slice of American cheese on whole wheat buns, top it off with all your favorites, lettuce, tomato, onion -- and with it I'm making potato salad and baked beans. If we feel we need an dessert later it will be watermelon or cantaloupe.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
Yes, when we returned home (about 20 miles away) we saw we had had a soft rain.
