Trying to push the food alittle bit more. Someone told me to eat a hard boiled egg before going to bed at night. It is protein that you need to burn while sleeping. So have tried that the last 2 nights. I was called into work alot this week for the sinus infections are starting up. Usually only work 2 hours but on Friday I did the full 7 hours and boy was I worn out. Plus the back got very sore again from being on cement that long.

There are no plans this weekend. The guys are going to a wrestling meet today so I can sit back and have a peaceful day. Plan on doing washing and checking over new recipes to find new things to try.

    I often eat boiled eggs for breakfast, particularly when I was working because they are portable. I think they are best if not overboiled. When I'm tracking and the evening comes and my protein is low on my report, I eat a Greek Yogurt. It too has high protein.

    Hi! How did the boiled egg at night time work? It sounds great if it works. I have been exercising-exercising- exercising and some how not realy loosing it. But what is seeming to happen is my blood pressure at times drops fairly low--maybe a good thing? Maybe Doc will have to decrease some of my meds!

I am getting frutrated with myself. After Zumba tonight we stood around and talked. They have come to the conclusion that the problem might be that I am not getting enough calories now and that is why no weight lost. I want to be down so bad before the end of March into the 160s. So now I have to learn how to push more protein and veggies I guess. I am going to try to do fruit smoothies and push the protein somehow. Just afraid of over eating but have discovered that I am only getting about 1000 cals a day in. Now to train the mind to do more. I have just gotten to the place of being afraid of foods now. I am staying around 177 all the time. I do the threadmill every morning for at least 15 minutes and then work with my 2 lb weights for awhile plus situps and knee bends. 2 nights a week I go to Zumba and work for an hour. I need to try to calcutate my calories better is my next challenge. Who ever thought that not eating enough would be a problem. Oh how I wish summer was here to get out and walk and do more outside. But then again time goes to fast as it is. i am sure it is the winter blahs and I will get over it. I have the end of March to look forward to and will try to still make my goal. With Gods help all is possible.

Now that i have vented I hope to feel better. Thanks for listening.

    As surprising as it is, eating too little can be just as hard on your weight loss journey as eating too much. Are you using Spark's nutrition tracker? Did they set up a nutritional guideline for you when you first started? A great place to add protein is eggs/egg whites and nut butters, even increase your lean proteins. Up your meal portion an ounce and you'll find that isn't over filling but gets you the extra your body needs.

You are doing great and this is all part of this journey, look at it this's better than telling you to eat less.

    This is one of those learning experiences. You'll find the right balance for you - it might just take a little trial and error. You've got the hard part (regular exercise) down! Keep it up!

Wow another quick weekend. We had a ball game on Friday night that went into 2 overtimes and then they lost by 1 point. Grandson did awesome. We then climbed into a car at 10 pm and headed for the cities (2 1/2 hours away.) I drove for all were tired. We got to our hotel about 12:30, checked in and fell in bed. I didn't sleep well, but that isn't unusual for me in a hotel. Up at 7 and went to lobby for breakfast and met the daughter family. Yogurt and banana for breakfast. We then headed downtown to the Twins fest. Lots of walking and fun with all the grandkids. Lunch was an apple and banana with a little bit of caramel over the top. By 3pm we were all ready to leave so said our goodbyes and headed for home. We did a detour over to Austin and the guys wanted pizza at our favorite place that DH and I was raised on when living there. So I had some beef pizza. Probably too many pieces but it was good. We stopped to visit DHs sister and brother and was on the road by 8:30. Made it home about 10 pm. Relaxed and then headed for bed. Boy did that feel good. I even slept in late this morning (8:30) I have lots of washing to get done but will wait for all to get up. The best part is you have to walk lots of stairs at the stadium. Normally I would have to stop several times to caught by breath to be able to climb more, not this time. I went straight up and still could have climbed more. I got to the top and had to wait for the rest. Made me want to jump up and down and cheer but behaved myself. What an awesome feeling.

Grandson in Wisconsin is to graduate next year so they want to do a family vacation before. Decided the only time that would work would be their spring break the first week in April. They asked Grandpa and Grandma to go along. So I guess we are going to Orlando Florida for that week. They got a suite for all of us now we just have to figure out what vehilcle to can take for all of us (6). It will be fun and something to look forward to. So glad my family likes to include us in these things. Just feel bad that my son and other grandson can't go with us. They have classes and the money would be too much.

Rain and ice today so glad we are home. Skipped church today because of it, don't want to slide to church. emoticon

    Being able to climb more steps! I was just telling my friend that since I began my health and fitness regime I did feel better. I can cross my legs again. I can tie my shoes easier. I could probably climb stadium steps a bit easier too! Non-scale victory for you!

    What a lovely day you had with family! I'm so glad you were able to go. I'm the same way when it comes to sleeping in any bed other than my own, as much fun as getting away is, getting home to my own bed always feels wonderful.

The vacation in Florida will be wonderful! I bet you're looking forward to the get-away.

The day started kind of slow for I woke last night not feeling too well. Now sure if it was a tough of the flu or my back acting up. Waited off till the afternoon and then did get 12 min. in on the threadmill. It is 5 degrees out tonight but the wind came up and it makes it -25 outside. So I tried to talk myself out of going to Zumba tonight but I didn't listen and went. I needed the workout. Tomorrow night is bowling night and then on Friday we have a ball game and it is wear pink night for cancer. So my bright pink top will come out. After the game we are headed to the Twin Cities, so won't get in till after midnight. It is DDs birthday and we are meeting to go to the Twins Fest and celebrate with her. I have always had short finger nails because of working in water alot, but now they are growing out so nice that I started wearing nail polish. Another goal for me. It makes me leave them alone when the color is on them. So for this weekend I have painted them red/white/blue for the Twins. I know that is a little crazy for a 67 year old, but then I never act my age so get use to it. Your only as old as you feel, right? If it wasn't for the gray hair people would be surprised. As it is my friends can't believe I am that old.


Supper tonight was three chicken breasts put in a crock pot with a little chicken broth and let simmer all day long. It stays so much more moist that way. Then the boys had mash potatoes and I have mixed veggies that were steamed. A very good meal for us.

Winter is back. It is below zero and they are saying with the wind chill it could get to -45 tonight. Think I will hibernate for a few days. No Zumba tonight because she has something going on but maybe that is good with this weather. At church this morning the Waldorf College choir sang and it was beautiful. Makes for a good day. Fish for dinner and a salad and will have some peaches later this afternoon.

I will have to push more this weekend on the excercise. As the sermon today said, I will do this with Gods help. I think he was talking to me on not giving up.
